Here's my beast:
GEN insert
GEN crown/tube
GEN dial
GEN date wheel
GEN hands
GEN crystal
GEN 3135
WSO bezel
WM9 bracelet/clasp
TC case

Here it was with the alternative WSO solid gold bracelet and GEN clasp. It was a money pit that watch...

The 1988 TT sub had a plain steel clasp so you could aim for that with a TT bracelet if that makes it easier?

Seems like all the 90's 16613 subs have that. Though I would prefer a two tone clasp as well. It would not be unusual to have the updated clasp, would it?

A money pit, but a shiny money pit. The one thing about these big Franken builds is you never get your money back when you sell. Everybody says they won't sell, but then some other project you can't live without comes along and guess what's up for sale? I've done it multiple times myself. Accurate timekeeping and financial sodomy. Who could ask for more?!

Nothing wrong with it but it starts getting to the point where you can just buy a used gen.

My friend bought an 88 TT sub for £3.5k

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ what he said! :bless:

Other way you could get around and get a TT clasp is use the clasp of a WM9 bracelet.
Few others have done it, including myself on my 16613 build in the past.

Thought he's only done LN, LV and YM

Wasn't he working on a 16613 project?

I'm not sure if he ever worked on a 16613, I don't believe so but I guess he did offer hands at one point that were for 16613 builds. Either that or I was lied to on both those builds but I highly doubt that because of the status of members that I purchase from.

The 16613 is such a special watch. Yes it's a money pit, yes you could go gen for a few dollars more than a super franken, yes you will lose your ass for selling it but why has so many members taken that knowledge and still build them? Because they are breathtaking. Here is mine, some know of it, some don't. It's about as close to gen as you can get. Gen everything except case (TC) and clasp (WM9)
