15202 appears to evolve, doesn't it? I found some references that show its date wheel being the same color as the dial, but there are also gen references showing white. I also found many of the blue dial pictures having black date wheel.

Current model on AP official website is pretty obvious that date wheel color matches the dial. Any 15202 experts care share some enlightenment on date wheel color?

By the way, I am looking to get one from a non-TD here, but he is next door. I remember people were wondering in a different 15202 thread before about the factory. It is actually TOP, which I have never heard before.

The images in the blog shows off the 5402 -aka the orignal. (old font, white datewheel). The 15202 is the new.

Nice, reminds me of the 39mm 15300 with the AP @12

The one with AP logo @12 does look like 15300, but it is not. Both pictures below are from chrono24. Upon closer look, 15300 has second hand, but no frame around the date window. 15202 has no second hand, but has date window frame.

Apparently. But this is so confusing, hence me using this thread to get confirmation from y'all. I am going to pull a trigger soon. Been eyeing 15202 for a while.

I still like the blue dial best. But the conflicting date wheel colors is still the main roadblock. Gen pics show blue dial with blue date wheel and also with black date wheel. I can't find confirmation as to whether blue dial and black date wheel exists or not. The TD from the other forum only carries blue dial and black date wheel. If only they carry blue dial and blue date wheel, I would have bought with no hesitation. AP official website shows current model of blue dial and blue date wheel, so that is as correct as it could get. But you know some models are released through different generations with slight nuances. I wouldn't mind getting that of the past generation as long as the flaws are minimal.

have you searched through RWI? i was doing the same before i bought a mbw 15202st from a member on the forum, and there was quite a wealth of information found within.

the first 15202st had a blue/black/white dial with the white date wheel and bordered date window, with the AP logo replacing the 12 o clock marker.
The next iteration also came in 3 colours but datewheels were matched to their respective dial colours, with the AP above the 6 o clock marker.

Anything else would've been a bad rep. Please correct if i'm mistaken.

I don't see why anyone would match a black dial with a blue datewheel or vice versa. Watch these 2 youtube videos of gens and listen to the commentary, it's actually informative and describes the differences and nuances of each iteration:

You bet, I have. But I got conflicting findings. The fact that it isn't as popular as 15400, there are fewer discussions I could use to revalidate the information between them. So I thought I would seek experts' opinions here using a new thread.

Please take a look at this link below for example.

https://www.fratellowatches.com/aud...5202st-a-new-version-introduced-at-sihh-2012/

It says the date wheel is black. Some other articles say it should be similar color to its dial. AP official site shows matching color, too.

If you also notice, the blue dial of 15202 is darker than that of other models. Many pictures on the Internet show up as almost black. Unless you read the specs, you would not be sure if it is blue.

I could find enough evidence that its first generation comes with three colors, blue/black/white. But its second/current generation appears to come in only blue and gold. I can find many references online to SS blue and gold case/gold dial. I can't find SS black/white of version 2. Are you sure there come in white dial and black dial, too, like the version 1?
