I have the blue tt version of this watch - and I am absolutely delighted with it. I'm not sure of the epic fail #3 picture on the black watch in this thread, but my watch doesn't have that issue with the SEL:

great ! please , where can I find out one similar to buy ? Thanks

Yes it is - you would be surprised. You should never judge colours by what you see on a computer screen.

Why the submariner black version 18k wrapped is different than this one?

I dont understand, the difference is just the blue dial

I don't really mind the SEL since I would probs wear it on a blue perlon strap. But how accurate is the blue tone on this 116613 sub?

Need direction on a sub purchase

Can anyone direct me on where to get a black sub w/stainless like a 116610? Looking for a good quality from a recommended dealer, appreciate the help.

Bro, this isn't the right place for your question, but to help you out, you want a Noob V6 Ceramic Submariner with the Asian 2836 movement. Message or email any one of the Trusted Dealers in the TD section and ask them to source one for you.

Bro that's a beauty but it still shows steal under the thin wrapped gold later on the SEL. It's hard for anyone to see in the wild but it's an instant tell

If you are not going to use the bracelet then do'nt waste the extra money on the wrapped one, its only the bracelet that is wrapped the bezel is still the same plated one as the cheaper version

:hypnotized: . . . .Yes it does. :whistling:

That's not the photograph that is under discussion - look at the SEL in the photo that I posted (the one that JoeyT commented on) and you will see what I mean.

I agree with you that the SEL's on the black version are crap.

I too own this watch and I've posted a few pics in other places but as andyc has stated pics do not do the watch justice compared to seeing in daylight and on the wrist.

I am extremely happy with my purchase but I did go through about 3-4 watches bc they do vary in quality with the gaps in the sel.

As other have stated the blue one does suffer from the same flaw as the black and you can see the layer of gold on the steel but it's not as severe as that pic of the black one.

I know this is technically a flaw but if you are considering buying this watch Dont let it hold you back from getting it because on the wrist it is next to impossible for anyone to see the sides of the sel.

Here are some pics I've taken with the watch in different lighting and also how the side of my sel looks:

All the bracelets on the two tone reps have the dreaded gold layered side view flaw....I have seen one instance where a two tone 14k gold center link after market bracelet was put on a black bezeled two toned rep, and it looked pretty good....except for the clasp..Any way you slice it, to really pull off a two tone sub, it's going to cost a lot to do it right, in my opinion.

Nonetheless about sel that blue twotone looks great compared to what have been offered before really dig it put a gen Crown and source a 18k bezel and it Would look killer on a blue perlon or NATO

I have it and think the watch is spectacular. There are flaws, but I don't mind them...
