Got my watch today, whipped the pretty nasty rep strap off and put a nicer black padded calf with white stitching on.
I took the back off to confirm it had Miyota movement in (it does) and grease the O ring. I then noticed the second hand was catching on the minute hand a bit, so dropped the movement out, bent the second hand up and put a tiny bit of black paint on the tip of the hour hand as a glint of brass was showing through if you caught the light right. I then got a couple of bits of dust off the dial before putting it back together and getting the dial better aligned with the crown.
There were a couple of sharp edges on the lugs and buckle, but two minutes of burnishing sorted those out.
I'm really impressed with this rep; the case, engraving, dial and lume are great. The Miyota movement is really nice, yeah it is 21600vph but it is clean, well made and winds quietly. I actually like the plastic holder as it is much easier to take out and put back than the sloppy brass ones you find in other cheap reps.
This rep is old news now, but if you're thinking about trying an IWC, you can't go wrong with this one. It looks nicely made before you find out it can be on your wrist for under $200 including postage and a decent strap!
