I can't really speak to that, as the only 116622 I have dealt with or felt was this one, and I had it shipped directly to Tom so I don't compare the bezel function to before the mod. I'd be surprised if he does anything to change the function, as his mod is to the insert, which does nothing to the quality or smoothness of the bezel rotating. For what its worth though, I can say that the 116622 bezel rotates much smoother than the 16622 that I had a few years ago.

i have mailed my bezel and bracelet to tom about a month ago. I am stuck with this message when tracking my package for over a week now. Any idea what can be holding the package up? I tried reaching out to tom to ask for recommendations but i never got a response back for a couple of days now. Figured i would ask here for help/recommendations.

Hey Mate - You need to be patient. Tom has done bezel paint mod for me. I have sent (and received) packages from him twice. From the time the package leaves Germany to its entry point in US (which is typically a week more or less), USPS status doesn’t update. Keep waiting, package will arrive.
Also Tom gets busy often but he always responds to Whatsapp messages. Good luck with your package!!
If the tracking is stuck it's worth messaging Tom to let him know. I had a situation once where a parcel was stuck at the parcelshop. GLS don't have to leave a note where he lives, and often they don't. I had one box sit there for a month and come back to me because he didn't get notification and was just too busy to check his whatsapp messages.
He's a nice bloke and his bezel work is very good - he lost the click spring on my gen ym bezel and was able to fit a replacement and fine tune it so it worked well. Just don't stray too far out of his comfort zone - he's not a watchsmith.
Tom isn't a 'trusted modder' on here for a reason - he doesn't want to be - he has other responsibilities and does it as a hobby, so don't expect the kind of service you get with some modders on here. I learned that to my cost when I sent him a gen gold bezel, he had it for over 6 months, did nothing with it and it came back eventually damaged and irreparable, most likely due to the lousy packaging he used from being too busy to deal with it and feeling guilty about hanging onto about $3k worth of my parts. I only make the point not to discredit Tom - I'd still use him for specific projects today - but I learned my lesson - don't send him stuff based on a conversation you had two weeks before - check he has time to do the work when you send it and be really clear about the scope. And with all modders, be prepared for mistakes, and be reasonable and rational in how you approach those mistakes. They are not RSC, and don't charge RSC prices, so don't expect RSC service.
