Thanks The v9 is meant to be the better insert. ussdassein did the sputter coating on it for me.

Nicely done! The sputter is a must have on these hulks. Been reading which insert is the best, but everyone seemed to have their own preferences. Some say v9, some say VRF, and some say ARF LOL! Quite confusing :-(Aston

Never seen any of spongebobs work in person, but more than happy with ussds work. Yeah, I know I had to limit myself to gen DWO, crystal, hands, crown & tube. Would love to get gen dial and bezel, but spending a fortune on a different Franken build.

I had all three , noob v7, vrf and now kept the arf hulk.

Here's are some pics for reference, in order noob , vrf and arf. Enjoy

Quick note. Vrf was amazing but pearl was pointy, and insert numbers looked white in person.

Drifter VRF looks really good. You've had as many versions of the hulk as I've had the 116613LB :lol:

Yes, Sponge is the best at plating the inserts!! I haven't seen anyone (that is still active) at his level.

VRF insert is a bit darker than gen, quite noticeable when you have them side by side but not easy to spot otherwise.

Gen insert is just a brighter green that no factory managed to replicate!

Here you can see a comparison in the colors of the inserts, VRF got very close!!

No worries, yes try and PM him. I believe he'll ask for $300 (New insert if you don't send him yours + the job + shipping w/EMS).
