I think you are going to need to wait until Davidsen releases his new upgraded 111H, which should be in a couple of weeks after Chinese New Year. Then you can make a better decision. I just received the new upgraded 005 from Davidsen and while the font and logo have been changed to the better, once again the numbers and dial markers are this sickning lime green, even when the dial is uncharged and also too thin, and the lume is wimpy. So this is going out directly to Vacuum for a relume with proper C3. This is the issue with all of his new sausage dials; completely incorrect number color and poor lume quality. The 177 does not suffer from this problem. When you see the number color on my 005 it is a dead give-away that it is a rep.
Rogerwine

i ordered a upgraded, superlumed dial from him for my 195 and it is crap. the lume is still green and not very strong. all of the fonts and markings on the dial are very light compared to the original dial. they are not bold enough. vaccum told me that when he relumes these with c3 it still looks a mint green color. i would imagine it is because of putting it over the original green color and it isn't completely covering it. i also bought a custom made strap from walter straps and the lugs are so short the case chewed the strap up. it fits on my 113 just fine. there are just too many things about these watches that are unsatisfactory for me and that is why i am going to buy ruby's 111h and mod it, at least it will take a ss bracelet or a thick strap.

i just put mine in my watch box and left it. i haven't worn it since.

I guess Rogerwine dial is not the same as yours....will let you know the results

well for his sake i certainly hope not, here is vaccum's pictures of my original before he removed it from the movement and both of the dials davidsen sent trying to get us a good one. look at the dials and you will see what i am talking about.

I own 5 PAM's, and the davidsen (got a 009 PVD sandwich dial and a 005 sausage dial) rocks.

The most beautiful I own is the PVD, but it is easy to get scratches in the case, so I think it is not so usable.

The 005 is very shinny, and the sandwich dial from davidsen is more accurate than the sausage.

If I'll have to choose only one PAM, I'll choose the Davidsen PAM 177h (titanium -- no scratches and no shinny -- and sandwich dial), and put a Original Panerai Strap, you can find it here:

I just got a Davidsen upgraded 111h/177h dial.....font is better, dial finish is nice, lume a bit weak for my taste...nothing a relume can't fix.

you are talking about the same upgraded dials that he is showing in dealers section?

nothing newer or special?

Nothing special just the upgraded version.

I would say that so far the best built rep PAM (minus the sub par lume) is the good ole tobacco brown dialed 036... Nothing beats this one.

I've always liked that one. Do you have a dealer name or link? I wouldn't mind checking it out. Thanks.

Ruby may still have this for sale. Check her dealer section (~200USd shipped). Movement is not a problem in this case as this is still using the same ETA6497-1.

I think that a 177h or a 111h from david is a good buy,,,,

You have a beautifull watch and when david update the dial for one that you like it... just buy the new dial and change it...

:D :D

You may want to check with B2K, look at the reviews for the 111h and 177, PM him...maybe he got his parts. What I have seen from him is very good.

Here are a few quick and dirty shots of my B2K 177h with a palp crown just as a reference:

Jack, that is nice. Great pics and a nice watch.

My 111h should arrive this week. Can't wait, it is a long time now but it will pay for it.

It looks good. I have no idea how accurate the dial is though. What does the lume look like? Do you have any pics of the back of the case and some closeups of the sandwich dial? How does it fit full size straps?

I was all set to buy a Davidsen 177H, but if I can't fit my $100 strap to it without risking damage, I am going to pass. Can anyone else confirm this issue?

What's wrong with the strap? I have tried even a thick Bob Vertigo into davidsen's case. It fits!

I don't know. Some people in this thread have complained that they can't fit a typical strap without it being damaged because the lug width is wrong.

hmmm... I don't think so. I have tried all sort of straps (TC Straps in particular). They all fits nicely.

well i put this small pictorial together for you guys. first is the pictures of the dial fiasco. second is a custom made strap from walter straps that was 100.00 and took 5 weeks to get because he kept going back to the market trying to find the best hide to make it from, it is not happy with this davidsen watch but strangely enough it fits my 113 from ruby just fine. if any of you guys still think that davidsen's 195 is the shit just let me know and i will post a proper sale post and sell you this watch. i only have about 520.00 in it and i dug it out of my watch box just to take these pictures for you guys. i don't wear it anymore because of what you see. on the up side vaccum's work was flawless and he fixed the crown leaver that was pushing the crown so hard it bent the crown stem. it works and fits perfectly now and is water tight. i will even throw in the original dial! what a deal.

enjoy,
