how come the crown sits so far away from the case? I have a 177 that does the same thing and am trying to figure out how to fix it since I don't think it is correct.

Good eye. It does sit out too far.

But it no longer bothers me. I was told by someone on RepGeek that Rex couldn't fix it on this watch. It involves filing down the whatever....

Without mods the watch cost $99. An outstanding bargain. If you want everything just right, get one from Davidsen or buy a pre-modded watch.

My understanding is that it requires a trimming of the stem and a longer lever to push/seal the crown in. I have a new lever on the way, I am going to try it.

This watch can be found in Robert/Time4Direct's dealer forum here: viewtopic.php?f=196&t=43897

I'm sure the ordering instructions (or at least an email address for contact) is included in that thread.

Good luck.

How long does it take T4D to ship out his watches? I paid on Saturday.
<update>
T4D got back to me and I already have a tracking number. So far my experience with T4D is going well. I must admit I am pretty impatient.

The waiting game is tough, I know. Patience, young Skywalker :D

I'm looking at one of Robert's PAMs.

Did you get it? I'm on the west coast and got my first rep three biz days (via EMS).

Guess what just came in the mail... It took me about 6 business days, a little longer maybe because I'm in NY. So far it looks good. Here are some pictures. And as a disclaimer, my pictures don't look as good as the other pictures I've seen on this forum. Enjoy!

RWI, what a great place!

Thanks for the pics, eastcoastboy! How's that stock strap? Is it as bad as everyone says? Is it at least real leather? I'm planning to order the same watch, but not too thrilled with buying "aftermarket" strap for now.

@eastcostboy

That's a $99 watch, seriously?
Still a noob, i'm amazed by that quality, wouldn't have expected that.

Well those are pictures of my $99 + $70 watch. I paid the extra $70 to get the Asian movement with the swan neck dagger. I actually ordered two watches, one for me and another with the cheaper Asian movement for my brother. Aside from the swan neck dagger they look identical. Same mineral glass, case, good AR, etc... I'm going to the panatime showroom later today to see their straps.
(edit)
So I went to panatime, and had a great experience. They're very friendly and helpful, and showed me a lot of straps before I found the one I like. I'm not sure if this is a popular strap, but I liked the way it looked and felt. And since I know everybody here likes pictures...I've got some pictures.

It's a great film, one of Clint's best. Funny too. My wife laughed her ass off.
