What's the difference between 1:1, superclone and a clone. All I can seem to find out is the superclone has a movement decorated like the gen version but maybe not as reliable as a ETA movement.

So a clone is just an ETA movement no decoration.

1:1 I assume is the best but where does that fail in the categories? I don't see anyone saying 1:1 just superclone or clone etc.

I just want the best datejust 41 I can get but it all confusing. Different factories do this and that better, I am a bit lost.

It’s simple really:

1:1 reps are guaranteed to be visibly 100% indistinguishable from gen. And if anyone spots it’s a rep, the factory will refund you the cost of the watch.

Clones are made using a gen watch, but because the cloning machine is a Chinese copy of a gen cloning machine, the resultant watch may suffer from a slight mutation (ie, the process could make it an evil watch - or it might start turning into a fly, etc.).

Superclones are like clones, but have additional special powers like lasers or invisibility.

Hope that helps.

You'll have to read up about the exact models in the individual threads. You won't see the movement of a DJ41 anyway...

The coming method will be the "reverse cloning" method : replicas built by factories as NOOB or ARF get cloned by known brands as Rolex, IWC and Omega in Swizzerland. The European manufacturers are expecting much lower costs and rising profits, as their speakers are indicating.

I agree, One of my clones just melt due to the mutation process:

It was not to make fun of you, don't worry, the answer of pOpperini was just perfect

To answer your question, I think those indications (Clone, super clone, best clone...) don't mean anything, some dealers use those words without reason or signification.

To know about the quality of a rep, you should read the following post: https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...sion/308081-consensual-list-super-reps-nwbigs

You should make a little presentation in the new member section too before asking question, it would help ;)

Hey thanks! Not my best work, but I've been distracted by all the current end of the world stuff going on.

Anyway, it's the flame free zone so no one is allowed to be nasty - I was merely having a little joke around, as I knew you'd be getting the sensible answer from other members. And as they've indicated - the terminology you asked about is largely meaningless marketing rubbish. Although this is slightly clouded when the factories/TDs also employ terms like "Super Clone" to describe a copy of a movement like the 7750 in an ARF Daytona - pointlessly decorated to look like a 4130 and lacking full functionality as a result - or the Super Clone 4130 by Noob which is actually a much-closer-to-proper-clone, fully functional and visually really similar to the gen.

In short, ignore the hyperbolic descriptions, and research the watch model(s) you're interested in - you'll find out all you need to know and more on the forums.

Thank you. Appreciate the answer.
its all very confusing as there are no set terms. I am looking at a datejust 41. Someone has s noob and the other ARF but look good but for me it's also about having a good movement. Again movements seem to be something that's altered to suit.

I will keep reading and hopefully learning. Thank you

Go with arf v3 with A2824 movement ..... keep it till it die , it's very reliable so i think it will never die..... but if , you can build in a swiss eta 2824 1:1 :)

I had the same and my nonTD refused to return me the money as he claimed it was due to me leaving it under the sun!
Unbelievable
