While the 1680 White doesn’t command the same attention as the 1680 Red, the stark minimalism of the all white dial is very appealing. Found across the spectrum of serials known for reference 1680, the white dial comes in three variations, MK I, MK II, and, you guessed it, MK III. This particular dial most closely resembles the MK II.
The build involved installing in a genuine, modified ETA 2846. I removed the day and quick date set functions as well as replaced the set spring to a 2-position set spring. The owner now has the distinct, vintage pleasure of manually setting the date through 31 days if the mainspring is left to unwind.
Additionally the MBW dial and Phong hands have been relumed.
