I'm a complete novice when it comes to replica watches and don't own any yet. I'm trying to learn as much as I possibly can and have been noticing some of the movement pics. Some of the replica movements are truly very impressive and I think I'm inching closer to purchasing my first rep. The one thing that I have noticed is that none of the movements I've seen have a free sprung balance wheel. Does such a thing exist? Are there any movements in replica watches that have a free sprung balance wheel? Personally, it's a a bit jarring to me to see an Omega or Rolex movement that is finished so well and with all the correct markings and then it has an index regulated movement. So, does it exist?

Interesting. Do you know that this is in development, or you're just assuming that it's a natural progression?

No i dont know , im just assuming , looking at the way rep movements have progressed even over the last 2 years i would not be surprised at all it it came to fruit .

Nope. None from the dealers. misiekped has been installing genuine balance in the rep 3135. I'm sure its not a cheap upgrade, but a worthwhile upgrade to consider if you are looking for this feature.

Free sprung is a pain to regulate I suspect we won’t be seeing them for a while.

I'm thinking their next project will be to replicate the chronergy escapement that is in the 3235 movement. Or maybe they'll replicate most of the 3235 but not the chronergy escapement.

Most asian markets I think will want a replica of the current version 126610. But the market is big enough now that I think the Asian factories will try to take it on. After all Noob was able to clone the 4130 movement.

Triple Axis Tourbillons are being repped as we speak, so Im sure we’ll see those 1:1 balance wheels eventually.

Where did you get this information? You mean Seagull just developing their OWN triple axis?

Could be a seagull triple axis but honestly same thing. If seagull makes it, then it’s probably 1/10th of the price of the swiss ones. Making it more attainable for a rep factory to use in a high end piece, like the RD double tourbillon for example. I forgot which post the info was in I’ll try to find it. It was posted by repist who who is a reputable user here.
