YLF Master Ultra Thin Moon

I went through so many QC pics from GF trying to find a good dial, and it will be the same with this. The one I chose after a good dealer had gone through over 20 is almost identical as the one pictured above.

On the wrist, it is not really noticeable, and I am not one for handing my reps around and saying take a real close look at this dial ;-)

To be fair, I think they have done a nice job considering the price point.

Looks reasonable, but big flaws like alignment of 6 marker would put me off...

That’s easily fixable, like any other misaligned index.

It looks great overall! But I’d take the gold one all day long. Hope they release that one too!

If they do the gold one and fix the 6 marker I’m definitely in. Clone movement looks great compared to the Miyota decoration, and it’s even cheaper than ZF/GF.

Movement is not bad, but they do the moon phase wrong. It's flat!!

For some reason, most clone movements are often stated as ‘decorated miyota’. In this case, it is definitely a clone movement rather than a decorated movement.

In this case trustytime's website says it's a 9015 modified w/moonphase function, whereas Li says it's not 9015-based at all and it's a custom clone. I'm sure one of them is just mistaken though!

Definitely doesn't look like a Miyota to me but equally I'm no expert. Will find out for sure when I get it in hand.

Would also be interesting to see the strap and clasp. This is the single biggest problem with the VF version (apart from moonphase)

Moonphase on the VF version is only a day/night indicator, not a true moonphase.

The ZF and GF versions have true moonphase (or, at least a 31 day cycle for the moonphase dial.)

Hopefully the YLF is also the 31 day cycle....

Just received the GF v2 of this last week and like it a lot. The moon on this YLF looks kinda flat like the ZF. I think it’s supposed to be a bit more raised. Hard to notice on wrist but think it’s worth pointing out.

i saw in the pictures the the Hour markers are kind of elevated or not properly attached to the dial. does it still have the same issues on the GF??

This has been banded around a few times as a flaw - it isn't, the gen also has them slightly raised
