I just received this watch yesterday from an outstanding gentleman of the forums. Let me preface this by saying that in no way shape or form do I wish for the results of this inquiry to reflect poorly upon him. He was so kind as to cross ship the watch to me (I sent him a money order and he shipped the watch the same day, and we received payment and watch the next day). He had recently purchased the watch from another forum person and is really fairly new to the replica scene... So AGAIN, this inquiry is merely for mine (and others) education.
The watch I received was to be an MBW case with MBW bracelet with Noob dial and Noob datewheel and genuine Swiss Eta movement... Cant go wrong with this combo for $200!!!
I have had the MBW 16610 before, as well as a 16613 and numerous 1665 and 1680's. This one has me stumped. It is absolutely a noob dial and date wheel. It is absolutely a genuine Swiss eta movement, but the case is odd. FIrst it is has the correct ROLEX spelling (not Polex). Second, I have never seen reference to this serial number being an MBW, the case back is stamped with the really bad 750/18kt markings and the 16600 ref number. The bracelet is not like any MBW Ive seen except for the fact it has solid midlinks. All engraving is correct including the reference numbers on the end links, clasp and inside the SEL. The bezel is retained by the typical hexagonal wire spring and not the flat washer and a gen insert doesnt even come close to fitting. I could not get the crystal retaining ring off at all...
I am attaching pictures of the watch, and would like anyone who could confirm this as a different MBW, or let me know what exactly it is. I have removed the cyclops in the pics, and may/may not put it back on... I kinda like the look of the crystal without it (yes, Im a SD whore!).
Thanks everyone, and AGAIN... the seller has already offered to send my USPS money order back to me and I turned him down. The watch is nice, I would just like to know what it is!
