So since everyone is listing it as having the SA3135 and not the VR3135 would you get the SA3135 or the A2836 here and why? Curious what folks think about the Hulk and color matching =)

Just to add to it - if you were planning on swapping a gen date into it which would work better? I see the movements are shown on Trusty Time's website for the SA3135 - anyone with the skills to tell if that is actually the SA or VR movement?

Seconded. I'm debating as well but for an OOTB. Was thinking this or an ARF with prof xtal for the recent good dw but undermagnified cyclops. but v10 seems to be pretty good for an OOTB.

This is better than the arf V2 going from the pics.but I would definitely add the arf braclett to the noob v10

as I said they call it sa3135 but it's the VR3135, which Pelagic has confirmed.

was the watch he was referring a v10 or v9?.. seemed a bit ambiguous. Dealer told me it was an Asian Clone 3135 which he thinks is just as reliable now. But still recommended 2836 off the bat. What do you guys think?

The VR is very nice but you really should have any A clone serviced.

A service might be a good idea either way, but the modern 3135 clones work fine. The idea that you need a 2836 for reliability is a silly holdover from years past.

Is it much more expensive to service the SA3135? Just trying to consider if the correct rotation for setting time and snapping date change is worth it for me (and something about crown height if I'm not mistaken?). Just don't wanna screw myself in the long run over something most people wouldn't even notice.

Just saw the Chinese videos. They are in, err.. Chinese. From what I can gather from the 4 videos, the notable points are

1. The ARF v2 (AV2) Hulk dial is closer to gen. The NV10 is too shiny.
2. The AV2 Hulk and NV10 colours are about the same.
3. The main improvements NV10 is in the bezel insert, engraving and the platinum dust colour closer to gen.
4. The sharp dial markers are the same for both AV2 and NV10.
5. No rehaut improvement.
6. ARF band still better finished than NV10
7. The clicks on the bezel is better in the NV10 than AV2.
8. The gap between case and glass is both tighter on the AV2 and NV10 than gen.

If I have the time will re-look and see if I missed anything.

I. Allready thinking it's an upgrade to the arf.defo I prefer this noob for sure.this noob with gen xtal and dw and arf braclett it will be great
