Does zf v2 bb58 still ship with a plastic box ? Was told by TD that ZF no longer ships with the box.

i received mine yesterday and it did not come with plastic box.
Overall pretty happy with the watch, although bracelet feels very cheap to me (coming from ARF Sub C). I never hold the gen BB 58. Maybe the steel bracelet feels similar...

Hi guys. Just received my first rep from Toro, a ZF BB 58 and have a few concerns.

Firstly, before ordering I asked for a QC pics but didn't send me anything, sent me directly the watch that show you here.

As you can see, the 9 marker is clearly misaligned, the crown is a bit long and the bezel its very (very) hard.

I'd appreciate a 2nd opinion.

Thanks

Crown tube is way too long. Does not look like a V2. You probably ordered a V1.

There are a few fair examples of V2 with long crown tubes in this thread. Unfortunately ZF seems to be all over the place with quality.

As you can see, the 9 marker is clearly misaligned, the crown is a bit long and the bezel its very (very) hard.

Can I ask what you mean by hard bezel? Hard to turn?

Yes, hard to turn

To everyone commenting on v2 crown tube length, sometimes the crown isn't in all the way for qc. It would be much better to compare crown tube length with crown unscrewed.

That's a good point. Shouldve asked for a second pic with fully screwed in crown. Makes no sense to make judgement from an unscrewed position. The unscrewed position would give an illusion it looks ok since it is expected to be longer.

Just wanted to share my purchase from Li from JTime Watch Time.

also wanted to know how well will this watch stand in cold weather. Anyone living in particularly snowy area here knows?

Don't bother with the 12" triangle marker with the shield not in alignment. Its not an issue at all as even most gens I've seen are not precisely aligned.

I'm no expert (haven't placed my order yet) but I've followed this thread long enough to know that the crown stem is too long for a V2.

Unscrewed crown would allow for viewing the crown tube length to first threads, instead of relying on td to screw crown down all the way.

Life would be so much simpler by looking at the end product like, screwed in fully rather than trying to measure the tube length visually. Surely, asking the TD to screw in fully is not that much to ask for as compared to unscrewed and you have basically nothing to compare/judge the unscrewed pic with.

Nothing wrong with this watch. Think people are too paranoid about the dial markers. On the crown tube you just have to make sure it's screwed in all the way.
