Been here for a while, but never got around to saying 'Hi'

Hi all,

I've been lurking here on and off for 9 months or so but I hadn't actually got around to posting until a couple days ago. Figured it was only polite to say 'Hi' (albeit belatedly :D ).

Quite a few folks here will know me as I'm admin over at RWG 1.1 (which is partly why I don't post much anywhere else - the other part being that I also admin a Macintosh tech support group elsewhere - yes, I am clinically insane ).

Mucho respect to LOS, D4M, HK and the rest of the admins & mods here - RWI is a great board with a unique sense of humor. You're doing a great job, guys. :)

Welcome to the forum!

You lurking around here and not having posted with all the watch knowledge you have will help to make up for me, as I have no watch knowledge and I post with abandon. :)

LOL - well, I don't know about having all that much knowledge, being involved in another watch forum doesn't mean I actually know anything much about watches ;)

welcome to RWI!!!

Its an honor to have you here! What watches are you into or maybe you could post some of your collection?

Humor is important in the workplace.. keeps everyone having fun. Theres nothing like taking a good stab at Seanf by bringing up Rados, Patrick Swuazie or midget porn to take off some stress after a hard day on the forum. lol

cheers

Thanks, Dizz :)

Seanf I only know by reputation (he will probably be alarmed to hear :p ), but with quite a few of you guys now dropping by to see us, I thought it was only fair to join the fun here :D

My taste (or lack of it!) in watches is fairly wide-ranging. I tend to make myself unpopular by not being a fan of Breitling or Hublot (I do have one Breit, but it's a cheapie and I never wear it), but most anything else goes (as you'll see from my sig).

Particular favourites are my Fiddy, a PAM111h, a VC malte perpetual retrograde calendar and a Rolex Deepsea. I'm a notorious cheapskate (ask anyone!), and whilst I have a few more expensive reps, I do love my cheapies too ;)

Here's an a (crappy, sorry) shot of almost my complete collection (along with some of my wife's watches) in my watch box:

you've got a nice collection there. I really do like your display/storage box. Thats about the size i need or maybe one size smaller. I like the style of it.

Thanks Hooli! :D

@Dizz. Yeah, it's a nice box. My wife bought it for me last year from a company in Germany. It's beautifully finished and feels really solid. My only criticism of it is that some of the larger watches are a bit of a tight fit as the individual compartments are on the narrow side. With care, though, the Fiddy & BR01 still fit fairly okay.

My only problem is the temptation to fill it! 8)

If you would like, I could send you a tutorial of things that are and are not safe to mention in front of seanf. :)

Rats. How did you find your way over here so fast?

Anyway, I'm not beating up on Greg. I'm giving him fair warning so that this:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=47163&st=0&sk=t&sd=a

doesn't happen to him.

Ehr, well, I don't know. I'd ask him, but that would undoubtedly result in more of the mudslinging you were trying to discourage just now.

Well, at least I already have an avatar (and I've been using this one for a while, so I should - hopefully- be safe)

To be honest, she's gonna hafta go some to compete with what's been going on at RWG1.1 lately. I came over here for some peace and quiet.... :p

I think I've already got the general idea ;)
