so a few months ago I bought this watch (https://imgur.com/a/Gu8HUSf) from Ryan at InTime everything is really nice but when I wore everyone says that it isn’t magnified 2.5x so I want to replace the crystal now I took the bezel off too see how hard it would be to get the current crystal out anddddd it’s attached to the bezel I didn’t try to pry it out as I don’t know if it’s glued or pressed in, should I ask intime to replace it or buy a replacement and hope the current sapphire isn’t attached to the bezel.
thanks

Intime should have no reason to replace anything. What model is that that? Factory?

Save your money. The magnification is off due to the distance between the crystal and datewheel. You'll not fix it by swapping crystal. Even if that is fixed, you still have a bezel that's too tall which is a less discussed but very obvious issue. Sell it off if it bothers you and buy something other than a Rolex datejust replica.

I guess I’ll just sell it on then I love it but it bothers me whenever I wear it and it gets pointed out a lot, I’ll replace it with an Explorer II hopefully

No don’t do that if you want a rep that is close. Get an ARF 36 mm datejust, or arf explorer 1,

I think I’ll take another go with a datejust Maron I copped out last time as it was my first time buying a rep and I spent $208 on a middle ground rep, I’m looking at this from the ARF factory now https://www.intime03.co/rollie/5203...markers-on-ss-yg-jubilee-bracelet-sh3135.html I just need a good datejust as a dress watch then I’ll look into picking up an explorer

I agree with your thought but I recommend a stainless steel replica because the gold colour is never correct, the weight is off, and unless you get thick wrapped ($1200) the sides of the bracelet will show steel rather than gold.

You should know that these watches with the sh3135 do better with a service and usually a couple of replacement parts.

That is also a good time to test it for water safety.

Couldn't have said it better. Avoid gold, if a SH3135, have it serviced.

Ahhh Ok I’ll steer clear of the gold then I found this one
https://www.intime03.co/rollie/5520...-dial-on-904l-ss-jubilee-bracelet-sa3135.html
its SA3135 not sure what the difference is between the SA and SH, also where would I take it to get serviced? This will be my first high end rep so sorry for all the questions thanks for your help

Bro! No problem! We have got you taken care of, let's just go over a few details together.

Please wait for confirmation from someone wiser than myself, but i believe that watch you listed actually houses an sh3135. As evidenced by the images of the movement. The listing which reads "sa3135" must be a typo.

So imho you have selected an excellent replica of the rolex date just 36. However, one usually changes the date wheel for a Rolex part ($150). Has the movement disassembled, cleaned, inspected, reassembled placing the correct amounts and types of oils in the correct places ( $150 to $250). Installs two pieces of Rolex reversing wheels ( $100 to $250) or a complete autowind assembly ( $250 to $350). The former is generally agreed to be mandatory if one wants their sh3135 powered watch to be reliable over the coming few years.

It is also sometimes necessary to change between one and four of the sh3135 calendar parts for Rolex ones ( $350 to $500),

After the service is a great time to have the watch tested for water safety. If proper seals are used and the watch is assembled correctly, there is no reason it should not pass 100 m.

Depending on your budget you could also have the case and bracelet brushed and polished by a professional ( $100 to $150).

One of the great things about the watch you chose is that the case is made the same shapes as the Rolex case. This means you can change as many of the replica parts as you want for Rolex parts. If it interests you and you have the budget you can also change the dial ($350), hands ( $250 ), crystal ( $325), crown ( $150).

So I kind of listed all of that in order of what i think is necessary, but it all depends on how far you wants to take it and have budget for.

what country are you in?

Oh wow! Thank you very much I’ve noted down all the things that should be changed and general prices that you’ve sent seems like a good idea to get them swapped out and serviced than, i assume it’s possible to do most of those over time and not all in one go, I’m living between Ireland and the UK at the moment would you know where in Europe is best to get it serviced or would I have to send it to the US after I get the watch, thanks for all the info I would’ve never have known about all this!

If it were me, I would try and do the service, reversing wheels or auto wind assembly, Rolex date, Rolex crown, and water testing, all together. Then over time you can collect dial, hands, crystal, and have the case refinished whenever you swap the parts in.

You are fortunate that a very wonderful member, modder, watchmaker in the UK. Send him a PM ado213
