What is the procedure for a transaction on RWI?

I'm a rather new member, even though I have been lurking for a good bit. I am about to do my first transaction on RWI for quite a decent amount of change. The member I am doing my transaction with seems very legit, but I just want to double check the proper procedure of buying on here. Could anyone please help me out.

You and the other member should start a reserved sales thread in the sales section for the transaction. That is the ONLY way to properly protect yourself against being scammed. If the seller doesn't want to start a thread he might not be "legit."

Seller seemed perfectly fine with starting a sales thread! Is venmo a safe way to deal ?

I know nothing about Venmo but you and the seller are free to agree to whatever payment method you choose. If the sale is around, or more than, $750 the seller will need HVS approval.

That's a very good point. I was always wondering if it would be okay to communicate away from RWI but now I see that there is a lot of risk behind it.
