I was there about a month ago, and while I wasn't able to locate Bennie (at least I don't think I did), I did find the best stuff by starting at the NE corner of Lafayette & Canal and walking East along the north side of the street towards the BK. There's a another BK elsewhere on Canal on the south side of the street, but didn't see anything of interest there. I was only versed in PAM reps at the time, and there were some decent ones for the money. I saw 111s and 183s with swan neck regulator movements. I'd generally be quoted $85-100, but then they'd be wiling to drop the price to $75. Here's an example of an 111E I got:
Dial is an incorrect sandwich dial as opposed to sausage. You can get 111H's with the correct case back, sandwich dial, and "swiss made" below the 6, but the crossbar on the "A"s on those reps are noticeably lower, and it's something that really annoys the crap out of me. Has recessed cannon pin, crown on the thin side, hands have some lume, crappy numeral lume, and mineral crystal.
Here's the back. Has the swan neck regulator, "officine panerai" type is a bit wavy, but gets the job done.
