Hey guys, new member here. Can anyone explain the general steps for buying a watch on the m2m sales section? Some of my general questions.....Once the sale is approved do you just send a PM to the seller if you are interested? Do you have to add a comment to the post as well? Is the sales transaction then arranged directly by the buyer and seller. Does the buyer have to notify RWI staff somehow? Lots of little questions but I’d like to have a better idea of the whole process. Thanks

Hi, welcome.... you can do what you described, send a pm and once it is green it is clear to go. Sales are between buyer and seller. Buyer will notify mods once sold... check the salesreputation from a buyer to avoid mistakes

Buy from an established member. Learn if the seller is a collector/flipper or if the seller is a two-three watch owner. Collectors or flippers usually sell watches in excellent condition because they just buy but never wear it then get bored or want a different want.

Ok thanks for the response. Another question..Do you need to obtain a certain membership status or number of posts before purchasing on m2m?

No requirements for buying afaik but as a seller I will pick a well regarded member over a new user any day to make sure I have a smooth transaction, and I think most people carry the same opinion.

Like Danii said; no requirements for buyer, but most sellers will choose their buyer.
For me, the order of buyers are Admin, Patron, Supporter then over 30 days Non-Supporter member with 70+ posts, but I can change my rule too.

That makes sense. I understand that the seller needs assurance that the buyer is reliable as well. I appreciate the responses.

You can read the sticky threads about the m2m section to get a better understanding
