I think I am hooked. I really love the watches. I have the black and the orange and would like to get the others. The next one that would be affordable is the Blue monster. The Red and the Yellow are limited editions and are selling for over 1K now. Thinking I may sell a few reps so I can acquire the blue.

A little trick if you are trying to sync with time.gov. If you put a little backpressure on the crown the second hand will stop. This will help as the movement does not have the hacking mechanism.

We read and talk about a lot of really fine dive watches. Some astronomically expensive. The long and short of it though, for an honest to god dive watch for taking in the water and beating the hell out of, Seiko is the KING! For most scuba divers the only concern is inadvertent flooding. In my business the guys that actually wear a watch on bottom really put a watch through it's paces. Whether it is running a hydraulic impact wrench on a 2"+ nut or running a hydraulic jackhammer busting concrete, these watches are subjected to a lot of vibration. Historically, nothing takes it like a Seiko! I understand your love affair with this fine brand. It might not be the most expensive or most impressive to the ladies, but it is the hands down champion of real world durability.

I blew it on a member sale here for one. Looking on Fleabay for one (orange dial)

@Brtelec

Here is one of the Omega's he has in the store. Mostly old stuff (like him) no moon watches.

I absolutely love my Seikos. I first noticed them here on the Rep boards. Now I have a black monster, an orange monster, and a pepsi divers. Now I am thinking about a DLC black monster....maybe some Yao mods too....

Who says that reps hurt gen sales? I am beginning to think that reps are just like a gateway drug.....they get you hooked for the quality stuff!

Thanks to everyone for fueling the addiction!

brtelec: wow I had no idea the Seiko's were really contenders for serious diving...but you ought to know since you and your fellow workers are putting these watches through their paces at extreme depths...I've never even had mine in the water but that will change this summer. :D

@Cybee, I have seen dead Seikos, but it takes a real effort to kill it. These are incredibly well built watches for real world use.

i love mine and i keep an eye out for the yellow and red but they are worth much less than what they are bringing to me so i probably won't buy them. i turned down a red one for 600.00. there are 1,800 blue ones and 1310 red ones, i figure the red one is worth about 500.00. there are 300 yellow and 1,100.00 is just too much for any seiko monster. i really do like the ones i have, they are cool and get allot of comments.

Hk,

Where did you get your blue monster. There is one on the bay right now bidding at $300. I may sell a few reps to get it. I really do like the look.

i just recently sold 2 of my MONSTERS.... these watches are the best ever on the market for the money.
no need to talk about lume. they are the reference.
any gen Panerai or Rolex is weak in lume compared to them !

i got it on the bay. don't be surprised if the bidding goes to 400.00-450.00. that seems to be the price they settled at about 1 year ago. i don't know if they are going higher than that now. the only difference i have noticed besides the colors is the bezel seems firmer and the clicks are softer.

I can't help you on yellow, red or blue, but Bluedial.com is the place most of us out here get our Seikos. Check these prices, they have free 2nd day air in Conus and they are great to deal with. http://www.bluedial.com/seiko-watch-dive.htm

wow great site

i wear my seiko bm on rubber now. i find the extension clasp part digs into my wrist the wrong way... no matter how tight or loose.

When I was working on a ship in Mexico a couple of years ago the entire vessel crew was Russian and Ukranian. I was bringing them all kinds of stuff like laptops, digital cameras, memory sticks, portable hard drives and WATCHES. They all wanted Seikos and I bought about 20 watches from Bluedial.com over about 15 months. They are fast and reliable. They will even size the bracelet free of charge if you give them your wrist size. I also love the $6- next day air.

I just saw on Fleabay user ID :pokeymonu has all sorts of Seiko Monsters. He has the Orange dial for but it now $115.00 + 28.00 shipping. Not bad. I bought a Casio ProTrek (PRG 60t)Titanium. Highly reccomend him. It's the best deal on the net so far.

One just sold (used) for $113.00 on SS band. about a min ago
