Noob v9 just appeared

Being a new member, I think alot of people forget we're talking about 500 dollar reps, not 9-14 thousand dollar gens. Of course the gen is more fantastic, it's genuine. I love my v9 because it's so damn close and worth way more than 500 dollars if these MINOR differences which half of you guys basically fix, I would say we're doin pretty well in the rep world if the DEAD GIVEAWAY is a bezel insert color, especially when you feel and wear this 480-500 dollar watch. I understand I'm new, this is the first automatic watch I've ever owned, my best watch before this was a G-shock. For being a replica, and what we paid, it's worth its weight in gold TO ME anyway. The fact that these differences are so minor and we're paying $500 not $12,000 dollars is still SO amazing to me, even almost a month after owning it. IDK. I mean no disrespect to anyone, I really appreciate the guys who can pimp these things out, and know their reps inside and out. Just offering my perspective.

I'm new here as well and i got mine from Ryan. I don't see any real big differences between a real one and a rep. Please can you be more specific with those differences? What is wrong with the crystal and bezel?

Gen rolex crystal has a "black hole" effect on the cyclops. The whole crystal will reflect everything but the cyclops will not. And the cyclops on the gen has white-ish glow to it. The SEL of a gen is sitting lower than the case and follows the curve of the case perfectly. the reps mostly dont sit as low as they should like the gen. Polishing on the gen is more fine and the rep a bit rough compared to gen. Gen crystal sits lower in the case than most reps. Rehaut engraving of the gen is more dark and I think the rehaut area itself shines a bit more.

EDIT:
Gen bezel insert has a platinum coating on it that reflects light better than most reps. The hands of a gen have more 3D look to it (as in depth) and the list goes on. On the first couple of pages in this topic, its all written out by master-submariner-god smoke You must pay him a sub in the form of an offer to the gods if you want his wisdom.

Lol I hear you bro, just read thru this thread you'll find the common complaints about it, but yeah same here. It's my only watch, first rep, and it feels like my first ROLEX. Diggin it. Now to move on to some other reps I have my eye on. Maybe a millgaus and a day-date? And a Nautilus, and a Royal oak, but that's for a different forum lol

Honestly I'm not sure I've ever known anyone with a gen Rolex, except once when I was a kid I went boating w the rich kid in my grade, his dad had a SS Rolex. I was like 12. So really, to me it's a god damn Rolex I got for 500 bucks haha, but I'm not that ignorant, I understand every way that it isn't, but it's damn fine to say the least!

Thanks very much for explaining this to me. Yeah smoke is the man and helped me to choose the noob v9 over the rest. I have seen the genuine ones few times. I couldn't notice the difference but if i held it side by side and looked closely that could be a different story.

Also, from memory the v9 imo looks better than the older gen subs ie 1996 and 2002. The v9 bracelet looks better and feels heavier. I even think the bezel and face looks better too. So overall, happy with purchase.

Unfortunately not. The latest 114060 is the Noob V7.
Another good model comes from BP but their bezel is not gen size.

Went through the entire thread and my thumb hurts. Just to confirm and summarize facts on Noob v9 vs. ARF:

Noob v9 - better case shape and SEL

ARF sub - better hands + dial + bezel insert + movement (referring to SH 3135)

Did I get it right? What about bezel teeth, bracelet and DW font?
