The Hublot BB is an ugly watch. The designer who came up with this watch must have been on coke and must be a homosexual.
The Hublot looks like one of the Village People in a sexy leather outfit: just FUGLY.

It's a pity you didn't share your opinion before, because without your "permission" the Big Bang has already been awarded as:
- Best design 2005 at the Geneva Grand Prix
- Best oversized watch at the watch of the year award 2005
- Best Sport Proffesional at Japan Best Watch Award 2005

From what I've heard the new Steelfish Super Ocean is outstanding but have yet to get my mitts on this one yet.

Sean K

It's a good/excellent replica. But overall build quality is nowhere near the Big Bang.

Just to add in a few words, it's featured in latest edition of Europastar magazine.

Ask people:
Tag? <--- Yes, heard before. Sinn? <--- Is that food?

hahah, yea people do that here w/ pam's

"wtf is that? a sun dial?" I used to get that daily.

Funny that you just said that. I am wearing my 183 today and my co-worker just walked by and was like "umm you think your dial is big enough? I can read the time from here!!!"

All these watches are very well done about how accurate they have replicated the design. About construction... well, that's another history. Probaly very few people (not from this forum, of course) would be able to notice wich one would be the gen or the rep just looking at them.

I think the most accurate of those watches in the poll is the Tag Link/Carerra Chrono. It is very much difficult to see any difference with the gen even when you hold both together, and the finish is also spot on.

Hmm... TAG Link Chronograph and Carrera Chronograph are two completely different watches... and reps.

tell you the truth, I feel comfortable only with my Rolly Exp I not to get busted... unless someone takes it away from my wrist and weighs it. As for the rest of my stuff, the pearls give it away, regardless of which rep it is.

More often than not, the pearl is the tell tale.

I've gotta go +1 for the 45mm PO. I've stared at my rep and gens on coutless occasions and I still cannot find the flaws.....aside from the pearl that pugwash mentioned....but my pearl is quite good, so ... :p

It is indeed a very, very close replica.
Unfortunately, the manufacturers received direction to focus their energies on that particular model from that particular brand to get it right.
Do this with a beautiful watch like a GO or Lange, or dare I say an AP Millenary?!?!?

Instead of voting which is the best rep, let's try to analyze the gen models of these reps to understand why each rep on the list is voted so...

(Not in any particular order)
Davidsen's PAM - Excellent built, esp on the dial and lume; PAM is a kinda watch which either you love or hate (we've almost half of the forum who dislike PAMs)

IWC GST Chrono Ti/SS - Almost 1:1 except for slight misalignment of print on dial; discontinued model; too small for big wrists (many big wrists here)

Hublot Big Bang SS/Gold - Too radical a design for conventional watch collectors (we've many old skools here)

Omega PO 42.5mm 4th gen - Often compared to 45mm and turns out less preferred for the size (we've lots of big wrists here)

Omega PO Ultimate Orange/Black 45mm - Has the form of the conventional Sub... only BIGGER and has a more modern touch to it.

I'd want to pick PO ultimate, since it's currently my favorite, but I can't say it'd forever be my favorite over the others in my collection.

The poll result looks like a bell curve :p with majority choosing PO Ultimate. 90 members have their votes and I would close when it reaches 100.

Breitling EVO with Swiss 7750 from Angus. I still think there are different versions out there.

Best finish so far.
Not a Chinese sapphire.
Double sided real AR - nice!
Best lume out of the box so far.
Great bracelet finish.
Spot on (graphite) dial color.

Not too many chronos in this quality out there! Gotta be the best rep...

The best lume out of box is Navitimer TT and some other PAM. This is the area which Navitimer won I think. See for yourself:

i held a vintage exp I in my hand and it felt bought the same weight as the rep Non-vintage one :? maybe the lume would give it away...

I love that Big bang rose gold because first of all there was not much rep on this watch model in the market before and also the first time that a factory dedicated to rep this model and up to this level of accuracy is AMAZING!!!

I fully support this new factory and look forward for their new models!!
