Favorite Cologne?

Wondering what everyone uses for their favorite cologne, as well as age?

I switch off quite frequently, and use different scents for different company, but for the most part (I'm 23):

VS Very Sexy for Him 2 - Daily light smelling, wear around the office
Kenneth Cole Black - Nighttime, dinner, bars - heavier darker scent lasts nicely
Ralph Lauren Romance
Lacoste Original - probably my new favorite, picking up a bottle soon, very clean sophisticated scent
Clinique Happy

Classics like Curve & Aqua Di Gio have always gotten me many hits, but it seems like everyone wears them now. I'm a big fan of very clean smelling scents, on the lighter side.

For the ladies, my all time favorite is Ralph Lauren Blue; close second is Clinique Happy Heart.

It really depends upon where I am going, what I am wearing and how I feel....the same applies to choosing a watch.

Currently have on rotation;

Moulton Brown
Issey Miyake
Vera Wang
Montblanc Starwalker
DKNY Be Delicious

Always tempting to get more, but will wait until one of the above runs out.

I am in the wine industry and you can't wear them because they get in the way of smelling the bouquet of wine. I used to wear them all the time when I was young, but because of my work I started to find them really irritating, specially a women wearing a a lot of perfume seems really cheap to me. However, I was recently given a bottle of Bulgari AQVA for Christmas and I love it and I have been secretly putting it on and sneering at my wine friends. LOL

That's very interesting. I had not considered that.

I wonder if many people in your profession give up smoking so that their sense of taste is not affected also?

I'm a bit of a cologne whore. It really depends on my mood and what time of year it is. My favorite right now is Calvin Klein Euphoria. But on a daily basis I wear Armani Black Code, Kenneth Cole Signature, Polo Blue. Issey Miyaki is for clubbing. I go a little old school with Dolce and Gabana and I throw a little Abercrombie and Finch Woods once in a while. I have many others like Clinique Happy, Good Life, etc. that don't get worn anymore I put them on when I feel a little nostalgic.

I have gotten more comments with Burberry Brit than anything else. It's a winner! Went to a bar with a bunch of friends (all couples - about 10 couples total). I said goodbye to one of our friends and gave her a hug. She kept on about how good I smelled and made about 5 or 6 of the other girls smell me too. NOTHING like 5-6 very attractive 30-something year olds holding you close and sniffing your neck. I think I felt it twitch.

My head could hardly fit in the car with my wife on the way home..... :D

Niko - Those people in my work who do smoke cigaretts usually don't give up smoking for that reason because they feel that it doesn't interfere as much with their sense of smell, which is the really most important part of wine quality identification. They certainly can't smoke in any establishment or work building anymore and definately not during any wine tasting. But an aroma from a fragrance is far more intrusive and tends to mask fruit and other subtle aromas and you carry it with you where ever you go. Plus cigar smoking within the wine industry has been a big deal since the late 80's. This is not to say that smoking does'nt hinder your taste ability, but like with eating spiced foods, you can somewhat cleanes your palate with water or neutral bread, etc..
