Really appreciate you sharing, can you tell us about the build? Looks like a HR case set ...yes?
Correct, everything is HR except bracelet, that is TC, and really worked out quite well imo.

Here's another HR build. Ironically, for the period of homage, my only water resistant watch. We all know WR is a priority for HR case sets. I'll leave it unmolested, although I'm already itching to swap out the crown for Athaya and sapphire for plexi.
Modern/Vintage. My favorite combo :)
-HR "branded" case set
-HR 6200 dial, slightly massaged-bought it this way from another member-not sure if it can come with yellow lume from HR
-eBay hands (maybe tiger?)
-Rivet bracelet-TC sub clasp
-ETA 2836

Hi guys, long time no post, just got back from the US on business so I get to open all my goodies, This Silix I bought!
First thing I did was whack that classic NATO on,
I will open it up and ask for your opinion on movement but the dial and hands I'll be going for are Raffles and Tiger.

Expert needed: I have a loose bezel, the fit is fine but has not got a solid click so can rotate far too easily, anyone got a simple fix thread I can look into.

sonoffrog 4 digit subs do not have a clicking bezel. That's how the genuine Submariners are as well.

As DVNE said, no clicking bezel. If you want the bezel to be harder to turn the best thing you can do is run about 4 turns of waxed dental floss between the bezel and case. Tuck the end under the bezel with a single edge razor blade. Voila, a firm bezel with no side to side movement and prelubricated with wax to move smoothly.

I'm not kidding makes it a thousand times better and is easily reversible.

I will do that thanks for the advice, and I learn something new every day, there's not much info around on the web other than Rolex forums regarding vintage subs,

I'm happy with this cheapie but can't wait to try my hand at a little modding as I really prefer the simple "gilt" sub dial.
