I want to introduce my new "favorite" watch...

A Santre22 build that has come to me via a fine member...dutchguy2.

https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/225687-Franken-Omega-SMP-(many-gen-parts)

The one thing I want to say is the closeup pics that we all long to see don't really do justice to the watch...this piece is beautiful.

Dents and dings described you don't even notice on the wrist.

A true well worn Omega!

Enjoy...

As I said on the "What Omega are you wearing" thread. This is truly a beautiful, very gen. like SMP. Beautifully aged. Enjoy it :)

I have not seen many SMPs including Gens. without an apparent SEL gap on the wrist. They are moderately heavy so they need to be worn tight enough, hence the gap depending on wrist size.

just a shame of that SEL gap :)

or is it just the pics?

Once again...as I said...these close up shots exaggerate everything...and cause shadowing...there is virtually no gap. That's why I say if you QC a watch and what you see, you can live with? When you get the watch on your wrist, the things you thought might be an issue will not even be noticeable.

Thanks...

Santre built with a gen dial, hands, crystal, crown and tube, He valve, insert and clasp...when you see the "waves" in the dial up close you can tell it's "badass" LOL.

A closed fac case and a gen bracelet and there's not much more that can be done.

No worries tho...it's a beaut as it is...like I said, a true sweet vintage build.

Beautiful watch. It has just enough wear to give it that "trusted timekeeping companion" look.

That should be a sticky quote, and pinned to every "I don't like this bit in the QC, what do you think?" thread. You are so right. If I listened to all that moaning and took it seriously I would never buy a watch, which seems like the case for a good few people.

Thanks for the kind words I feel honored that you appreciate my build and I'm glad it found a home on the other side of the world. Best regards Santre
