Gents, how's this version? Anybody ordered? Hands look good to me, but I'm not an expert in PP honestly..

+1, when you look at the AP movement plates, they really didn't make an effort on this one.

12mm thick according to PT website, the old Miyota is 10mm thick, which is still 1mm thicker than the gen, imagine how 3mm thicker than gen would look like in person. On the 5711, the 3mm added thickness in comparison with the gen makes a huge difference in the look of the watch in my opinion. and I think that would be a big tell.

As for the DW, perhaps a WS can help center the DW if you get your hands on one that is not centered. Many older Miyotas and SW200 has this centering DW issues as well.

But all in all, I think if the person will buy the MKF as his/her first 5711, he/she won't feel the difference. But PP enthusiasts, rep or gen, will feel something awkward about the watch, but won't know what it is, until they see the thickness. This was the first thing that grabbed my eyes when I looked at PT site pics. and the video gave it away when I saw the side of the watch.

My friend just got this version and it doesn't look like the pictures on the website. He said it came from MKF and his has too much space on the right side of the DW and there's two holes on the bracelet just like the SW200 version. But it did come with the decorated movement. I'll ask him to send me pictures so I can show you guys.

MKF is the factory making it.

DW is datewheel

I just got mine a week ago and everything about is perfect I had a long chat with DC, and after the fact I changed my mind regarding the SW200....Since I did the payment to Mary before that with the difference in price I got a nice credit and then a shiny new RG Calatrava.

There is no extra hole on the bracelet, movement can be a little bit loud at times as some said before but nothing crazy tbh.

Hands, logo and texture on the dial are spot on. I'll take some photographs later on the week!

Still holding back because of this. If it sits flat on the wrist I might pull the trigger! I am used to thick watches anyways...

Better than words :

Not saying the MKF is a bad watch though. But the dial pattern is off, again. The 'classic' Miyota dial is better in terms of pattern, though color is not perfect.

Don't worry Barth, I totally understand what your saying, I was making a reference to previews reps. The dial is way better now, but still obviously lacking certain details in comparison to the gen. But you know the deal with reps, is all about how much the wrong details bother you in order to enjoy your watch haha.
