Hey guys, first post here.
Having a hard time deciding what my next watch should be.
I was having such a hard time finding a good rep to keep long term that I just ended up getting a TW CEO RG chrono instead, but I got bored of it already and its already on eBay.
I'm deciding between a:
Rolex 16613, 116613
Calibre de Cartier - SS on white dial or RG on chocolate dial (Don't think they make an accurate one though)
AP 15400 RG or SS.

What do you guys think?
It's so hard finding the most accurate version for a decent price with all the different versions and TD's.

asian7750 has many different options on the 16613 and 116613
http://www.asian7750.com/product_list.asp?bid=82&sid=2

such as this
http://www.asian7750.com/product_show.asp?P_id=3397
or this
http://www.asian7750.com/product_show.asp?P_id=2608

for the 15400, torobravos has a special for $208 which I think is a killer deal but I don't know the quality and accuracy compared to the other version.

http://www.torobravos2014.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1386

Trying to keep it under $300.

Thanks for the help in advance fellow RWIers!

With the subs, and I may be wrong here , but I haven't heard good things about the movement that's decorated to look like a Rolex one , and I've heard of reliability issues. Many people just seem to opt for the standard Asian clone ETA stock movements. I personally like the 15400, and at that price it's a steal, my only concern there is the white date wheel on the dark dials, but I'd pick up the White one anyways so wouldn't be a problem :)

I'm having the same problem in deciding which 15400 to get.
Sead has a few versions as well, one at $285 and another at $259 but unsure how these compare to Toro's offer.
From what I've read the $400+ version is by far the better rep.

Hmmm, I've got a similar issue at the moment regarding my next watch. I've got lots of options, but I just can't decide. I'm more 'active' over on RWG and have done a poll on there to gauge people's reactions, even if you end up not agreeing with the results, it at least gives you other peoples opinions and maybe a different perspective on the watches you are considering....
....not sure if you can do polls on here?

In the end though it is a very personal decision isn't it? Another option is to buy a Sub from Narikaa (TD on here...), which are fairly cheap, see if you actually like it and if you do sell it on (they always are popular...) and buy a better version.....
...yes, you'll have lost a bit in doing this, but at least you are sure.

Anyway, out of the three I'd go for the sub and +1 for asian clone ETA movement.

The 15400 is a fabulous dressy watch but can be worn casually too. The 9015 movement seems to run very accurately for me. If I remember correctly you need to look out for crooked markers and make sure the AP is straight. Oh yeah ... The date window should be more square shaped and not rectangular. I think some versions have more words engraved on the movement. Some prefer this, some do not. $208 is much cheaper than I paid ... seems like a great deal to me. I don't think you will find one perfect in all aspects but keep your eye on the above points when looking at QCs. I am no expert but this was advice offered to me from people who know their APs.

Here is a pic of the sub c I had from Reg, I know you were looking for one with two tone, but worth asking if he has any:

Lovely watch for the money.....

After thought ... The $208 has quite a rectangular date window.

I think Seads $285 looks best but there is less decoration. Don't know if he still has them.

I went the 16613 route and I tried going under $1000 and it didn't work I just wasn't happy with it. I ended up spending a lot more to get one that is right. I would recommend the calibre its much easier to live with as far as flaws go there are still a couple of minor ones but it's really good and not a lot of money. Get it on gen leather strap and you have a killer watch. There are a few versions out there of the calibre you want one where the subdial at six crosses the CP right in the middle of the dial. Never had an AP so can't really comment on it.

I'm not much of a leather guy even though the tw steel watch is on a leather strap.
Calibre on SS/white dial is beautiful and versatile.
Wear it with a tux or shorts and a polo. Truly one of kind.

I just want a fairly accurate dial and good gold plating/wrapping for the 16613.
Don't know why it is so hard to find a good one of these for 300.

How much does Narikaa's sub go for and what are its main faults?

If your not crazy about the leather the calibre Bracelet is very high quality for its price.

I'm the wrong person to ask about details on narikaa's subs, I really don't get hung up on the small details of the reps....

But it was about $110 if I remember correctly. Have a look at his site or his section on here.....

As far as I know the only one to get the 16613 bracelet right is the WM9 where the gold wraps all the way around the gold part of the end links. I also wasn't happy with the color of the blue dial it's hard to find a good one at that price range. A lot of them look purple. I can't speak for the 116613 as I don't like the new subs as much but if noob fac does one I think they are the ones making the best 116610 so I would start looking there.

A 15400 with Miyota 9015 for $208 = A STEAL!!! I have the white dial and got a good deal but nothing like this one.

Yeah, thinking about pulling the trigger on the 15400 just based on its value.

IMO, the 15400 is a stunner too. I get tons of compliments when I wear it.

I'd like the blue dial 15400 but the date window is way out on Toro's deal.

I've asked Sead for a pic of the blue dial on his $285 version, will make a decision from there.
