Tampa, not sure what difference that makes but there you go, lol.

We were planning on Miami but KBH scared us out of that.

sana, not a chance bro but thanks for the tip. I can barely drive around here as it is, it takes a lot of getting used to.

I'm very used to a certain driving style no doubt about that but F me if these Florida drivers aren't just as crazy. I thought people would be more relaxed down here but their not. Some of these idiots are just insane. I'm really surprised. I expected to be driving behind a bunch of blue hairs lol, but nope I'm surrounded by crazies that are running from someone trying to kill them. I almost got ran over by a golf cart, for real, and the guy was drinking and golf carting, maybe that's legal here, I don't know.

Don't forget, you arrived at the height of tourist season. Those are mostly Yankees from New Yawk and New Joisey clogging our roadways. Most of them don't drive much for 8 months out of the year and come down here to learn all over again. It'll get much better again after April.

The Blue Hairs are mostly across the bridge over in St. Pete.

I haven't made it over to St. Pete yet still busy finding our way around here.

KBH, I have noticed alot of Jersery and NY plates around. I just wasnt prepared for the amount of traffic Im seeing. I thought the traffic would be much lighter but your probably right a lot of tourism to get away from the cold. Can't blame them for that I will never go back to the cold and snow, F that, never again. I don't even want to see snow again. Sun, golf, and water that's what I'm talking about, total relaxation.

It's not easy to pack up and leave everything and everyone around you and start a new life elsewhere to begin with Sub.
You're cool for doing so. It's both exciting and upsetting at once. We did it a few times and often where you plan a new start isn't where you'll stay for long... Hang in there and take your time scouting out the best place for you. It could be a year but then you made an educated move. Unless you really feel you must leave for your safety or extreme discomfort.
Taking time means moving once more instead if two or three times. Hope it's not too bad for you Sub, so you and your family could enjoy the holidays. :)

Witt, thanks brother. I hear what your saying and we've discussed a possible second move so that's always a possibility in the future. Were happy where we are right now the biggest problem is probably me. I'm not real big on change however this was a planned move to get away from the cold and be more comfortable. As we get more familiar with the area and surroundings I'm sure we will settle in or perhaps find an area that we like better. In all reality I really can't complain but I do anyway lol, I'm sure once I get used to my new city I will feel better about it, but right now I'm still going through the shock of everything being so different. But at least I'm not freezing my F'ing ass off and there's no snow.

Congrats sub! I have a friend with a condo in Fort myers, so i try to get down once in awhile. Used to go to Tampa and Miami for NHL games when the Jets were in the same conference. It's definitely an interesting state. A lot of variation from one city to the next. Every American stereotype seems to reside somewhere in Florida. However, getting a sunburn in February makes it worthwhile. Lol

No state income tax and gambling. I can play all day 5 minutes from the house.

Understood. Just afew days ago I picked up my snowblower from my warehouse, filled up with gas and oil and... Spark plug seized. MF! I guess we will be shoveling for a few days now until I get that fixed.
I hear you about the snow. If I had a desk job it wouldn't bother me too much, but I have a business and a crew on the road every day and I hate dragging I the snow everywhere we go. I'm fine with the cold. My guys tell me I'm nuts because I'm still outside in just a T-shirt at minus -40C (sorry don't know the us Fahrenheit... Which doesn't sound English lol). So the snow slows me down and it's messy. I wouldn't mind having a place down south upon retirement though but permanently or seasonally you gotta pick a spot... where we fit in with the demographics of our choice. I wouldn't enjoy the blue and pink haired communities and play shuffle board at this time (or perhaps never) but on the other hand... it's a great place to find vintage watches I'm sure - lol

Big raji, thanks brother I know what you mean about the sunburn. It seems so weird to be celebrating the holidays when its so warm outside, but I like it.

Sana, I've never been much of a gambler but my wifes sure likes it. I'll have to figure out a way so she doesn't find out about the casinos, lol.

Witt, vintage watches lmao.

Sana, I will check out the Hard Rock for sure. I didn't even think of that, thanks for the heads up. Gonna need a cab that night, lol. I remember the last time I was at one my wife and I drank so many pina coladas they asked us to leave, great time.
