I am pretty sure this fantasy Diver combination has been discussed, but never really fully built, as it presents some challenges for a watchmaker along the way. The idea is to transplant the best parts of the SS Diver into a FC case, and omit all the funky yellow components (hands, inner bezel of FC diver). There was a lot of customisation and hot-rodding along the way, which only made the final result even more expensive and arduous to assemble, but which eliminated some of the most annoying features of the Diver for me.
Ingedients:
1) FC Diver 2 mid-case (the "wavy" not the "woody" case--look at LW's Spidolite for a FC case with the same wavy patterns, giving this V2 case a kind of design pedigree). Polished, of course.
2) Swiss ETA 2824 movement, serviced by me.
3) FC Diver 2 ceramic bezel and polished bezel screws
4) Noob Diver 3.5 dial, with double-AR cyclops, and C3:C1 relume of markers, did not like the original lume
5) Noob Diver 3.5 hands, with C3:C1 re-lume, to match the dial
6) Noob Diver 3.5 DW
7) Noiob Diver inner bezel, re-lumed with C3:C1, to match the dial and the hands
8) Noob Diver 3.5 Xtal, w/ double-AR
9) polished end-links
10) gen Diver strap w/ custom DLC buckle

When I first saw the FC diver in the AP catalogue, I did not like the yellow. Then I got used to it. Now I went back and took it out.

Nope. Too tight a fit. End links need to be drilled out, and I have no sharp drill bits in that size. Will have to wait. But, yes, Black OEM with white stripes looks good.

Have you tried putting the bar though on the opposite side that's too tight, that may allow you to fit!!

Other side does not work either. Sometimes, like guru also experiences, one needs to drill out the hole on the end-links to 1.5-1.6mm to accommodate the metal inserts.

But I fitted an AP Bands hornback black/white successfully. You were right: Looks much better than the rubber. (Lesson #1 of RWI: Always listen to Sharrkey when it comes to matching straps to APs).

I am wearing this to the wine cellar now. I worked 11 hours straight on it. Time for some Bordeaux!

No orange, but I was thinking of red lume in the seconds hand circle. LOL.
Congratulations on the Volcano OEM strap. Do you have a Volcano/Lava coming in or a ceramic Diver?

Time to eat and drink and be merry. I haven't eaten in 11 hours while working on this project, hungry and thirsty:

Sometimes the silver bezel screws irritate me on a black bezel, it is true. But with this fantasy, I wanted to have some chrome bling, so I left the bezel screws silver, and polished the end links. There are really only two or three colours here: black, silver, and white. BTW, this watch glows like a torch in the dark. Not like a wimpy rep lumed Diver.

Thanks brothers valant and emdeevee, your approbation is deeply appreciated.--what else do I do this for, anyhow? The Bordeaux is a 2003 Chateau Branaire Ducru, bought it when it was still "only" €50/bottle, and now it is very much in its prime: cherry, coffee, ah read my tasting notes on CellarTracker.com. Unfortunately, I have drank the whole bottle in one sitting, as I am feeling I need to celebrate and I am actually very thirsty, and it is Saturday night. The wine excels however only on the second day. Ah, oh well. You will notice some watch materials (Angelus leather dying lacquer and other toxic chemicals, etc.) behind the decanter in the previous photo. Unfortunately, when me wife returns in approximately 5 weeks, she will be freaking out to discover that the kitchen has turned into a storage room for all of my watchmaking acquisitions: including a CNC machine in front of the toaster, and an ultrasonic on top of the fridge. She already freaked out about my dial finishing lab in the bathroom, last year ah, oh well, the price of progress.

That looks HOT bro, i love it!
I prefer it on rubber though. Polished end links and bezel screws (like you have) are a MUST!
I agree, omitting the funky yellow components was a good idea.
The color scheme now is sharp and classy. Well done my friend
