I have not seen the gen FC Diver in person yet. Does it have this sheen/shine? I thought it was more matte, but it's hard to tell from pictures. Regardless, it sure looks good.

I tried polishing mine with a Dremell and some very mild polish. It is now shiny. What would you reccomend to restore the Matte/Satin Finsh like yours?

The watch is at my Watchmakers place now. I was going to part it out, but if anyone thinks it can be salvaged, I would love to keep it.

Any ideas?

I used a mild wax and not polish. Mine doesn't have a shine on it. Just enough to make the pattern pop out. 1 coat that's it! Overdo it and you will ruin it

Mine is defiantly over done. Can mine be brought back, or is it ruined for good?

cant say. id try to take the polish off of a small part of the case ( back of the case ) with some alcohol maybe ?, fine grit sandpaper ?

Is it possible to do this by hand without taking the case apart?

you will be tempted to do that but the results will be patchy and will look bad

I picked my case up from the watchmaker today after he decided he couldn't do anything with it. I went over the entire case with a Scott bright pad, it looks much better now. I am taking it to the shop today to finish it out with some 1500 grit sand paper. I think I am going to be able to bring her back to life! I didn't take a before pic, but here is an in progress shot.

I think it came out pretty good. Once it's back together I will take some good pics.
