One helluva watch!!
Here're some pics... enjoy!!
Some information:
It's a limited edition of 500 pieces worldwide. It is this type of a self-quoting watch, since Sinn already did a 140 in the 80ies, which became famous for being the first Sinn automatic chronograph in Space.
I find the look & feel of this watch so different and adorable, and of course I fell in love with it instantaneously...
Since it has a 3600 EUR price tag, I had to sell 8 great reps of my collection to fund it, among those a holy-grail franken PN Daytona from Spinmaster, a bloody fantastic Domi-modded APROO BT with high end APBands black hornback strap, and some other better-end reps.
But boy, no matter how hard it was to let those watches go: It has paid of with this Sinn here...
On a side note, there will be no rep of the 140A, at least in no way an accurate one.
For one, it's not a Sinn watch series that is in the focus of the rep factories (they seemingly only go after the - especially in Asia - popular U models).
Secondly, the built-in "Sinn SZ01" movement cannot be repped, either. This movement is basically a swiss Valjoux 7750, plus a special module done by Sinn, which will allow for a springing central stop minute hand, instead of your usual tiny sub dial, that nobody this side of Mars can read while running anyhow...
This is a feature that was famous with the discontinued and legendary Lemania 5100 (like in my gen Sinn 157, or in the renowned Sinn 142), although the 5100 had a continous running central stop minute hand, not a springing one - which is of course even better in function/readability.
Well, the rep factories MIGHT be able to replicate that (like they did stuff with the sec@6 module for the highly popular and demanded Rolex Daytona). But they WON'T do it in this case, because there lies no profit in doing such a movement building effort, for such a small selling numbers niché model...
Cheers
