Quick question. I'm about to pull the trigger on a diver QC photos, but some of the screws look a little off. Is that something I can mod myself? Thanks!!!!

Depends. You have to make sure the bezel isn't damaged from the screw turning otherwise it won't look good. You can definitely reset the screws in the bezel by loosening the caseback screws and the retaining nut below.

How much you pay for QC pics?
;)

Haha!

Honestly I'm sure the watch is fine. I hate looking at macro photos. Always makes me over think it. I've never had a problem with a rep to date. I approved the qc pics. Pumped.

I dont know if its just a matter of turning the screws to fit them into position because they are over torqued or what. has anyone else had this problem?

Or undertorqued? I just waterproofed my V3 and all of the bezel screws were pretty loose. Was quite a hassle even with the proper tool bits.

Did the screws fit better into place once you waterproofed it?

No. They were well aligned, but not sunken. After torquing them down, they remain level. Surprising, since many said this was a "fix".

I had two AP toolbits from the guy over on RG that sold them. Wore both of them out trying to torque the screws down enough that they would be sunk below the bezel. I did successfully waterproof the watch though.

The problem is that the current batch of bezel screws are too small (according to a TD at least).

That's why the AP Diver screws I ordered for my watch were smaller than the bezel screws I already had.

As you can see in this picture, the middle screw is from the latest noob factory batch. The screws should look like the one to the right.

yeah, that looks about right.

Although I thought the new V5 was not noob factory.

Looking at my QC images and looking at the image of your bezel screws the difference looks much larger in your photo than in the watch.
