Bezel screws are horrible on these QC pics

Back serial number does start with 0, so these are from the newmaker, but the bezel font is still not very thick as advertised. Got another qc pic and its the same thing.
I'm considering just waiting for the 4.1 to get back in stock

From what I can remember from seeing the gen @AD was that the bezel font was larger and bolder compared to the rep, but back then that was comparing to the Noob V3!

The V5 now has LARGER bezel numbers compared to the Gen but still not as thick. So I don't really call it an improvement at all.

Check the serial number on the back.. I remember reading a thread on repgeek.. The member bought a V5 and they showed him pics of a V4 or a V4.1 so I believe the V4 or V4.1 started with a 1 and the V5 starts with a 0 for their serial number

I got a QC for a V4,1 Noob by mistake instead of the V5 I have on order.
You are correct that Noob uses Serial that starts with a N 1 and this ceramic/DLC maker uses serial N 0.

I just got new QC for my V5 (?), the serial is correct with a zero but Im not sure about the thick bezel numbers? Could it be a V4.0?
My dealer said they would take of the CB to show the gold plated rotor to make sure.
Damn, its getting harder buying a Diver and get the correct version when the differences are so small :lol:

Klockis, those photos show a V4 for sure. Look at the hour hand, date window, and bezel font and compare them to my photos.

So some good news!
Ryan told me that the v4.1 is back in stock soon. I think I'll switch my order to the 4.1. The datewheel and the bezel screw cutout on the v5 is bugging me more than the smaller bezel font.

So I guess that means that there is no updated Noob version anytime soon?

The 4.1 and 5.0 bezels are different, not really sure I would say one is better than the other. The spacing is better on the 4.1, the height is better on the 5.0. It is hard to compare with the gen as the font can look very different depending on the angle. Since the bezel itself is angled, a photo straight on will foreshorten the numerals. A photo at an angle may show them en face. Plus there may some variability among the gens, the FC Divers for instance are different than the steel Divers.

At this point I am happy enough with either bezel. I would like to see better hex screws, maybe I can talk Mikey into making plated ones for AP ROO

Yes mine is from Toro. I have had great luck with him picking me superb samples and he is also getting me a part I needed for another piece.
