Noob Sub Stem Broken ?

Hey guys, i would really appreciate some help/advice.

I have attempted my first mods today, BP pearl on Noob Sub C, and also BP hands on the same sub.

After quite a bit of messing about i thought i'd finsihed when the stem shot off the crown.

I have two pieces :-

The stem seems to be in one piece, and there is a spring in the barrel of the crown (probably that's not what it's called).

Is it just a case of forcing the spring down and screwing the stem back in ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sure looks like the stem is broken. You need to extract that broken piece from the crown or get a new crown, and youll probably need a new stem too.

Thanks for the help guys. I can't get the piece out. On other watches it just screws into the crown, but this seems to be on a spring inside the crown and as much a si try it just won't screw out.

I'll contact a TD and see if i can get a new crown and stem.

The stem is definitely broken off inside the crown. The portion that it screws on to is spring mounted so you won't be able to get it out unless you have a very precise drill or you could dissolve it out with alum. The best solution unfortunately is to source a new crown and stem which will have to be cut to length. Don't throw away the old one, use it to measure and cut the new one.

Maybe get a TC crown? Stem is easy to find.

This is my standard Noob, not the V2, and I always preferred the BP pearl....it actually looks good on the noob bezel (i bought the BP bezel, but it needs a lot of work to get it onto the noob).

This was more about me trying a bit of modding than anything else though.

It might just be me, but I ended up having to use the Noob second hand, i just could not get the BP one on, the Noob went on first time.

Great big massive PHEW from me Dukes.
My stem came out all together on the V1, and I reckoned it was the keyless. The 3135 being a bit of an asshole movement, after a quick converse with Bonesey, I decided to fire it back for repair.
Sent it back to Ryan, and he's emailed today to say, its all fixed, good to go, WITH A NEW V2 HANDSET FITTED TO BOOT.

All good. Glad you got it sorted mate, and it seems Ryan was true to his word from when you got the V1. Seems like he's given you very good service.

DUKES, how does that Rubber B fit with the Noob clasp? Had an Everest from rsh but to be honest, I prefer the way the 'B' has the detail from the lugs right through. Deffo looking to get one sent from Angus.

The Rubber B strap isn't compatible with the clasp off the Ceramic subs. I ordered a Daytona clasp for this purpose.

You can get the strap and clasp together from some dealers for $65 including airmail. I'll message you a link.

I just bought a second V2 Sub through M2M sales and i'm going to be popping the Rubber B on that when it arrives.
