I very nearly put my name down for an RWG watch a while back.

Glad I didn't. There are very few updates (watch was originally promised for Nov/Dec 2012) as the promoter took a hissy fit and decided to leave all the customers in the dark, other than a couple of snippets from third parties.

Also, I can't imagine when I'd wear it, and how I would answer without sounding stupid, when an admirer (it does look very nice) asked what the RWG stood for...

Well on the other hand, zee Promoter is the only one that actually seem to have fronted money in a selfless enterprise and all the customers have only put faith in the process. Not likely they will run down the guy for scamming them.
As for answering questions about the RWG, well, how many do ask what IWC stands for?
Watch is a stunner, that is everything there is to it for me. And for 300 bucks, you don't get much out there...

Well said! The "promoter" as he was just called has put a lot of his time and a LOT of his own money into this up front, and irrespective of anything else that alone deserves the respect of anyone interested and even of those who may not be interested in buying one of the watches.

The integrity of the person driving this as far as I'm concerned is not in doubt and for FFog to call that into question and make such blase statements about what has been happening with the watch is ill-informed and out of order.
In fact it probably calls for one of these

Luth will deliver, yes it has taken time but "all good things come to those who wait" and for such a project it's worth the wait, which I and many others are willing to do.

It seems the good folks over at RWG have ultimate faith in Luth to deliver this watch as promised,,,that being said there is overwhelming sentiment that the original number of 300 remain to insure the exclusiveness of the watch,,,,, because of this and my joining RWG to late to make the original list I will hope that Luth respects their wishes and I will seek a spot from a RWG member that wishes to back out for what ever reason..... After the RWG watch is complete and delivered with me being a proud owner or not, hopefully WITH (cause it's a bad mofo!),,,only then will I consider looking at any plans for a RWI watch..... just my two cents.....Good Luck Luth you've got a lot of real friends over there bro....

There is nothing to count you in for yet. No decision on whether to allow this will be made until after the RWG watch is delivered. Sorry but that's how it is. Given the history of forum watches I'm probably being looked upon as mad by the older members for even considering it. The only reason I'm doing so is that Luth will bear the cost/risk until sale and I have 100% trust and faith in the the man to deliver what he promises.

Agreed, TB, but while people will vote as a preliminary decision - RWG watch will be delivered already. I'd never start another watch before delivering first one. Period.

If Luthier is going to build another one I'm in

Looks like they could have ESD floor and workbenches...

But then look at the chairs and those flipflops...
