I've never owned a strap from Hk tan, but I've 2 ApBands straps and the fit and finish is fantastic, plenty of other members have owned both I'm sure they will chime in, thou I don't think Hk Tans has inserts @ strap ends, Ap Bands has plastic inserts so fit to case is great

HKTAN and AP bands are the two that I like the most. I would go AP Bands only because of the inserts that Shark mentioned. It makes it a lot easier to mount the strap. But HKTAN makes great looking straps. These two are the best IMHO, if you're not going OEM.

Anyone strap maker can restitch a strap for you. Both of these companies have their straps made overseas.
