It has to be rep. How the hell does someone have like 3-5 gen straps valued at $1000 plus a pop, in the middle of nowhere in Europe no less. WTF ?
I posted the damn thing and the way it is taken apart, it is not the way a gen is assembled with 6 loose links on each side. I have found it odd that they come this way as the common practice is to have 5 on one side and 7 on the other (less if small wrist) and sometimes when I moved a link over, they did not seem to be the same width, a tad off but noticeable.
Also, the Clasp will tell you 100%. A new gen clasp alone will sell for $450+ guaranteed
FWIW TC is not in any way involved or implicated.....perhaps he does know who it is as more than likely, he has the contact info of the person in that city etc, especially since you probably have a name on the paypal receipt. Asshole should be burned for passing these off as gen

Why are you so paranoid of not taking it to the AD for confirmation? that's the best way to win a dispute! my 2 cents worth.

mitch, biggest problem when buying from the bay or any site is no matter whats listed or even shown isn't always what you recieve. I'm happy your email worked and you were able to get your funds returned. Never buy any Rolex parts online its a huge gamble, even when packaged in Rolex packaging often these guys will put a rep inside like a gasket, crystal, or crown you get the idea I'm sure.
See these guys know their selling BS (which is why its priced so low), if not the items would be priced much higher and believe me theres alot of guys looking for and wanting spare parts, or a extra gen bracelet, or bezel. Spare gen Rolex items sell fast cause there so damn hard to find. Its close to impossible to buy a brand new gen Rolex bracelet unless your buying right from them.

I'm not from Budapest, never been there and don't know anyone over there, but if this is how middle of nowhere looks like, I wanna live in the middle of nowhere.
And it looks like they even have a Rolex AD but seems like Rolex is pretty small over there

I've had the same feeling....the guy says he refunded the people that he sold the bracelets to...I was only aware of one other one rsh said there was more. I don't know if he did or didn't, said he traded for the bracelet and believed them gen. I don't know how much it turns if indeed a scam and not accident. He did refund me and quick. I'm out for now and lucky with learning a good lesson, but I'm still of the opinion this is the very kind of thing that could cause big trouble.
This is a follow up... I'm currently out of town, headed home for Turkey-day now. My wife called yesterday and said my new bracelet has arrived. I don't believe in keeping things that I haven't paid for but if I return it to the guy he'll more likely then not try to sell it to someone else as gen. Any ideas?
