How many of you 7750 owners use your chrono function?

Same here, I just don't have the needs to use the function.
I have a cell phone for that.

And really how many times do you need to time things? I can't remember the last time i needed to time something to the second and if i did i probably would just use my iPhone.
Don't get me wrong i love chrono watches but are they really necessary in 2012? probably not

Even on a gen ETA 7750, I had the issue of the chrono function not properly resetting to 12 anymore. Better don't use it. And if you do so, let the chrono seconds hand stop close to the 12 before resetting, that keeps the mechanical wear low when pressing the reset button.

I try not to get the watches that have chronographs to minimize this. I do have an IWC Portuguese with sec@6, and I serviced it as soon as I got it, and never touch the chrono.

I just let it run the first time i received the watch, just to see if everything works fine. Never used it again. Well, never needed to...

Now, from all you guys using the chrono without problems, how many reset outside the 10-2 zone?

Yeah don't care where the hand is... I reset whenever needed. Again, no problems there. Ever. And if the hand were to slip, I'd just fix it myself.

I'm using mine right now to time the roast and the bezel to tell me when the spuds need to go in.

I use chronos a lot, no issues from using them, even on a 3yo Santos Chrono. If you're worried but need a chrono, get one with a Seagull ST-19 and you'll be worry free if you're paranoid about the A7750.

I think the A7750 has developed into a much better movement than people are giving it credit for. I have mine timed with my phone for 40 hours now and it's approx +1 second. The only concern is the hands slipping and that can be addressed by resetting between 10 and 2.
