What's happening in Greece should be a lesson for the world that socialism doesn't work. All their "pensions" will disappear
socialism works. But getting more money than earned doesnt work. The EU (germany) paid subsidies, that went to the bonds of people who were dead or even better,you got bonds with around 60-75 % of your last wage. So you paid 30 years a little then got promoted for the last years and earned more, then you got a "high" bond. Thats crazy or the most greece people have no moral to pay taxes. No country can work with that behaviour....they ****** themslef, now they cry, this people should shut up. Leave the union. The effect isnt that dramatically, only some big player in financial system want to fear us. But for real they just want to save the money that they earned illegal, without moral or without real work.
You just should get a interest for your earned money not for your compounded interest, thats bullshit !

It has stuff all to do with socialism and everything to do with wages being too high and massive tax avoidance. It has a piddling 9.4 million voters. Easy credit is what did this and the assumption it would just keep on rolling. Sound familiar to anyone stateside?
The situaton in Greece is quite dire. Latest I heard was that people (who can afford it) are stocking up on food. Food banks are running dry and priority is given to families with children. Money has been pouring out of banks both under the mattress and to foreign banks. Finally, an exit from the euro are return to the Drachma will result a final run on the banks, followed by a devaluation of the new currency by about 40% within two weeks. Not pretty. Most people there do not even know who to vote for this weekend.

It is quite ironic that your claim "socialism works" is followed by your disclaimer: "But getting more money than earned doesn't work."
The whole economic concept of Socialism is based on entitlements, not performance or competition.

There's some reason the Greek took €800MM daily from their private accounts in the last weeks, converting it to cash. They await retun of the Drachme and try to save as much as possible from the 'good old' euro before their new own money comes and rapidly looses value worldwide, reflecting the 'strength' of their economy.
Let's see what happens to the other candidates then, once Greece has crashed and the banks lost their money from speculation - Spain, Italy, Portugal... interesting game for them as well. They may figure out the wealthy countries in Europe may not pay for all their debts like they wished.

Ok guys, lets begin with the election first. I will make later a thorough post with what really happened here last 10 years and where the whole thing begun...
So exit polls show left party syriza and right party nea dimokratia being really close.
Nea dimokratia along with the other left party pasok are the two parties signed the memorandum.
Before the first lections on may, syriza said they will impeach the memorandum and ask for negotiations etc and people since the other two parties where teared down by all they taxes the put and all the measures they applied, syriza went up and became second in the votes (17%) when 2 years before was at 5%. The thing is that in the meanwhile syriza took some of the members of pasok. But those members are not some random ones... They are the dirtier!
So what they did after you will ask? Since they were second in votes and a "big" party now, the used the same method pasok and nea dimokratia used all those years, they promised! The promised big and huge things!!! Things that people want! Whatever you can think, but most important they are against the memorandum as most of the Greeks are and they said they kind of delete the depts of people etc...
Too good to be true? Of course! If they could do all those things, myself first would vote them, and i wish they will but i am pretty sure they wont. This party isnt new or will save anyone, they took with them all the "good" boys and voila, victory!
What will happen next? I don't know. I really dont want to know... But i think bad things are going to happen. Even if the right party wins the difference will be so little that soon enough we will have again elections. The situation is fecked up! And these are the moments when people start to fear, and when fear is established you know that this isn't good.
We are not that of calm nation, we get very easily pissed of, and we are already much of pissed...
I can write more and i will, but i wanted to give a first view of what is really happening. Everyone is kind of scared, but desperate people do desperate things, and believe me when over 50% of the voters in Athens (where hald of the populations lives) vote syriza then they have nothing to lose, and they risk.
We will go down, i cant see how can be saved, i don't know that much of economics, i just judge the politics and they are the same shit, just mixed up...
Maybe we will be sacrificed as the other EU nations to be saved and when the development comes we will be already outside EU, or maybe Portugal, Spain and Italy are next... Who knows...?
I will catch you later boys with more stuff. Pray for us and in the name of God, please learn from our mistakes! Stop repeating history...

They never understand that socialism is NOT communism. Where is the problem to have a working social economy ?
You can do your work, build your company. But you have to pay good wages. All worker pay a little of their earning for social thinks like health system etc...
Give 100 Euro per month from 40 Million working people to people who cant work or are ill. Thats ok, people can live in a good way. Thats socialism, where is the problem ?
Socialism isnt give all away to other, that was the greece problem. Use money that wasnt there !
But you americans think, he doesnt work he shouldnt get any treatment. So a doctor need 4 luxury mansion, :facepalm:. 1-2 would be also enough and he wouldnt die from giving a little....
But hey america is great, world leader with 3rd world health system where people go in a school to get free dentist treatment or the cool country was clear of debt. Now Bush and co sold america to china....
P.S. Germany, a social system is competing very well against the USA. even with 4 times less of living people and all time interference by copying and stealing company secrets from intelligence, also giving pressure for things that are better like the own gps system, america screwed us.......competition at its best :lolcina:

I will stick to Greece problems cause i have no opinion about what happened to other countries, but socialism just destroyed our country. And that's a fact! No hypothesis or a fantasy scenario... This is history written and our fall is due to socialism.

When George Papandreou came to that European meeting and announced he will go to referendum about leavinf the Euro or not (i will come to that later explaining what the f@ck happened there) next day all the leaders of the army (navy and airforce) were fired and governmental put "their" in charge cause they were afraid of military revolution... Bullsh!t... Fake that was too!
Believe there are so much info on the background i can be writing for days. I promise i will come back with a full story of what happened here after 1974 and especially after 2002. That's the year all started entering the euro with fake evidence... Everyone knew they were fake, but who cares????! The plan is working just perfect so far...
