Help!!!

Just bought my first rep from one of the TD's on here. Had it about 2 weeks, haven't really worn it a great deal. Took it off this morning and it stopped about 20 mins after I left the house.

Now, I treat it very carefully and although I don't wear it to work I give it a gentle shake for a few seconds and wear it around the house, just to get used to it.

It was working fine and running perfectly when I first opened the box when it got delivered. I've never adjusted it between 8 and 2. Has not received any bumps or knocks.

Anyone know how I can kick start it back up? It stopped at about 8:20:22. (Might have been 22:20:22).

2836 should be hand wind-able. When looking at the crown, can you wind it clockwise?

I picked up an A2836 Sub for my dad, and mabye a month of wrist time, she stopped. I pooped it open and it had a super tiny screw that went loose and was stuck in the movement. So i got some needlenoses and got it out. I re-installed it and tightened the other screws. It's working fine now :)

Feels like a 'bouncy' pressure against me if I try to wind it CW. I'm not going to force it.

I don't have any tools to open it up. Any ideas of what it could be? Bit disappointed this thing has stopped on me so early on...

A ball of duct tape can open it up.

I don't think you're picturing a BR03-92 when you suggest that. ;)

Just a mini flat screwdriver and a pin similar to a link removal pin should do. There's a thread on this forum somewhere about opening it up. Just remember to wrap the tip of the flat screwdriver with a small piece of tape to avoid scratches.

These are some directions I found for the BR01. I can only assume that it will be the same for the BR03.

Ok first flip irt over dial side down
See the screw that says "Do No Unscrew" unscrew it.
Once thats off that is access the the crown release. Pull the crown out to the time setting position and with a small jewelers screwdriver, depress the crown release button gently. it may not me directly over that case hole. Look in with a flashlight, and look for the button. Once the button is pushed down, the crown wil come out with some outward pull and some turning a few degrees. DONT FORCE IT!
Once that is done flip it over dial side up.
Now the four screws on the corners . Start with the top left, then the bottom right, then the top right then the bottom left. The crystal in the top half ogf the case can be removed, Maybe some pulling gently since there is a gasket seated in there, dont lose that and it does tend to stick to the main case or the crystal assembly.
I have opened these cases dozens of tmes, no two are alike. The maching iis good on the good reps and bad on the bad ones. Just go slow.

Once the dial i and hads are out in the open you can basically pull it out of the case of the watch. You can the put it in a dial holder, re insert the crown with stem in the movement and it will run normally from there.
Re assembly:
Grease your gaskets prior to assembly. watch for dust particles, reverse order for the 4 case screws in assembly. Be sure the movement and dial is in the case proper to like up with the crown tube for crown stem re-insertion. Put back the stem release screw in back of the case. I suggest some loc-tite (blue) or a smal, very small amout of silicone on the threads for water sealing.

You'll be good to go. its one of the simpler watches to break down but it's unorthodox since the dial is inserted throgh the front of the watch not the usual from the back. PM me if you have any issues.

In due time you will get good at it, eventually mod the CRAP out of one like I did: Case back screws(before the factories did it) and superlume from EWW.

I've taken the 'do not unscrew' screw out and I'm using an iPhone sim removal tool to try to press the button.

Should I be pressing very hard? As nothing seems to be depressing here?

Got a flashlight, can't see anything obvious down the little hole...but then again, I have no idea what I'm looking for here...

Sorry man, I don't have any advice for you from first hand experience. Can you tell if the rotor is moving out of the way so you can push the release button? The crown needs to be pulled out before you can pull the face and movement out.

Sorry for the noob questions. Any idea how I can move the rotor out the way?

There's an 'edge' I can see/feel to the left of the hole where my pin is dipping straight in (at quite an angle), but doesn't seem to be any obvious button anywhere.

I'm still digging around in there...

Unless the rotor is stuck (which could actually be your initial problem) it should swing out of the way by gravity. Hold the watch sideways with the crown pointing up and wiggle it a bunch of times.
