Even Rolex can do bad QC

Ha ha. You all failed to mention that the bezel is 2 or 3 clicks to the left of zero. The watch is also not photographed dead on which makes the pearl appear off-center. Other factors such as a crappy camera lens can also cause this to happen.

No QC issues here.

Rolex wouldn't discount that not even 1% to the stores best customer. If someone complains about it not being centered, they would rather replace the dial then have to discount it

AD's will discount, you just have to know how to ask. But it has to be done in person, they will not discuss it with you over the phone.

As I said, the pearl was off just looking at it, nothing to do with the camera, an angle or a click to the left.

Ha ha Rolex really do have people believing they are infallible to the extent of a watch expert like Wiz seeing it with his own eyes, some people still refuse to believe a company who mass produce, could get 1 wrong!!

It will probably be worth more than a regular hulk, TRF dudes will name it the 'off pearl' and like the 'flat 4's it will become a grail to many....

I tried asking a couple of time (at other ADs) if I could take pics but they were really agressive in saying no, and as this episode occured in a small town where people know my familly, I don't really wanted to be caught. It wouldn't have been a disaster, just unconfortable.

on that part of taking pics at ADs, i've walked in, taking pics at the showcases with my cam phone (and my ipad once) and never been stopped. perhaps you just have to act like a tourist and a total watch noob to do that.
on the same note, has anybody seen any signage in ADs that says: "NO PHOTOGRAPHY" ?

an off-centered pearl is very easy to see on vintage rolex inserts, as MK1 5512/5513 inserts

maybe in the 2040s an Hulk with off-centered pearl will have an higher value than a standard one...that's Rolex!

A Rolex dealership agreement is worth a fortune, no shop owner would risk loosing it unless he is completly senile. Oh and of course they have insurrance.
