That looks sweet! Looks like a tight SEL fit. The lume maybe different but without it, the hands and dial seems to have similar shade.

The SEL fit is PERFECT! And the hands and dial are perfectly matched because they're both gen and probably from the same era. I have no choice but to refund him the deposit and realist the watch. I think I'll wear it around for a few days first to make sure everything is working like it should and then it will go up as is.

Maybe just take it apart send him the parts he bought.
But a refund?? No way after all that work you did. I wouldn't refund a penny.

Nice watch and I think the gen parts by far make up for the bezel. I like shiney and new so a new bezel would make watch perfect, however it is a gamble with the movement.

Please name the buyer. I can't stand these guys who do a PP dispute.

He already escalated the claim so I have no option but to refund. I will get his information later when I'm on a real computer and believe you me, I will make very sure everyone knows who he is. I do this because I love it, I haven't made a dime and assh*les who think it's cool to jerk honest folk around should be shunned from the community.

I had a transaction with Fidhle and he was a gentleman...He is also contributing with many ways in the forum...WTF is wrong and good guys have problems with people like this...

Why can't you just close that PP account, open a another one later, and what does it mean he escalated the claim??

I thought when you gift a PP payment it can't be disputed.

I'm afraid this may come out looking like fraud on the OP's part to PayPal. This guy definitely needs to be outed. And if I were a betting man he has probably stuck it to someone else in the past, or will attempt to in the future.

I'm thinking he probably mentioned replica. Maybe something along the lines of I gifted the funds for a Rolex and the seller sold me a Rolex with fake parts. Making him appear as a unwitting buyer.

Details of the complaint are available to the OP in the dispute centre, I'd like to know just how this guy managed the near impossible. Remember, admitting to gifting for a purchase should get him in the shit as well, it's against eBay rules.

My guess is he used a CC and went through them rather then PayPal.

He's a member here, I just found him on the list. His name is Saintintn on the boards and his real name is [MOD EDIT: SXXXX]. When I get home I'll find his home address and anything else I can dig up. You don't screw me like this and get off scott free, especially when I go so far out of the way to be helpful!

He may get his refund from his CC, but that shouldn't effect you. I don't understand how he could get a refund from PP though from a gift.

What did he claim in his dispute??

That's bs man, fight it with paypal, just be patient and maybe you will be ok. Just be honest tell them you are a watchsmith and he contracted you to perform an assembly or repair on a watch.

yup, i agree. if you have emails or pm's showing he agreed you build him the watch with the parts then hes screwed. PP wont side with buyers remorse.
