Uh oh! Pending customs inspection!

I received a letter last week from HMRC stating that 3 suspected counterfeit watches had been seized and would be destroyed unless I wanted them examined by the brand owners at my expense.

Basically it said if they didn't hear from me within 14 days the watches would be destroyed.

did you send the letter to the dealer? Any word on what they're prepared to do for you - if anything?

Trusted Dealer should cover the seizure if Customs letter is shown to them, unless watches were sold as Wholesale, as I understand it.

Im having the same problem, i bought a watch from Jimmy (watchcollecterhk), it was sent via fedex,it arrived yesterday (Mexico) and its was delayed by customs inspections, so i just called fedex, and they told me it was being held by customs pending investigation and that i should wait a few days for a resolution.

Im located in Monterrey, Mexico. Jimmy is the youtube seller who goes by the name watchcollecterhk. I already sent him an e-mail telling the situation to see if he will refund o send another, next time i'll have it sent to an adress in the US.

Buy at your own risk. If it goes pear shaped you suffer the consequences, you'll get no support here whatsoever. Stick to trusted dealers.

Yes, i know he is not a trusted deales here, but there are some members here who have bought a lot of watches from him and has a good reputation. Also i emailed him about my problem and if held by customs he will send me another watch, wich next time ill have it sipped to the US, dont want to run the same risk again.
