Just got my new DSSD and it's my smallest watch. I decided to take a few pictures with my 44mm 025d and 47mm DSN watches. Have a look...

The 47mm DSN sports a 26x26mm strap. The 44mm Submersible has a 24x24mm strap. The 43mm DSSD has a 21x22mm strap.

I don't think I have seen a DSSD presented this way. Thanks for putting this together.

Very nice pictures, straps are good looking on the PAMs. It is very interesting to see the already chunky DSSD being dwarfed by other watches.

Yeah, 43mm is not very very large...
I consider my Porsche design a medium sized watch, and it's 42mm... like my PO. FA Jones is 43mm I think...

Now, the fiddy, that's a rather large beast ;)

Wow, I've never thought the DSSD would be so small by comparison. I've always heard that it's a beast but now finally be able to see a comparison. Now, I have not worries about wearing one since I can wear the 005K and the 187. :biglaugh:

So is the DSSD lug size 21 or 22mm? I thought it would at least be 24!

Thanks.

It's 21. I would like it a lot more if it were 24mm but I think true Rolex fans like tiny, girly straps :stir: The bracelet tapers to a very fem 15.5mm. IMO this watch on it's bracelet is very top heavy.

Definitely agree with that

it's not that the dssd is big. it's large and to me awkward. not that i hate it. it's not like that. but i just feel like its awkward. it's not for me. i gave mine away. to a surfer friend who did me a favor and wanted a "big watch". it's very wide. and has imposing wrist presence. i actually like the look of it, just not on my wrist. great straps btw. and a nice comparo. thanks. (i'm not looking to flame dssd lovers here. it's just not for me)

You guys hit it right on the head. The bracelet size on the DSSD is ridiculous. It's like putting 13" wheels on an SUV. But if you know Rolex and their fanbase, it's very conservative. I like the DSSD because it's the one Rolex offering that doesn't feel like a Mickey Mouse watch on my wrist. I have an LV Sub that's amazing, but when i wear it, I feel like I left the house without a watch. Maybe one day Rolex will be a bit more aggressive and widen their bracelets on bigger watches.
