Need help deciding which submariner

Okay folks need your help on this one. I'm getting ready to purchase a good sub. Can anyone tell me the difference between these three? Also if there is a better bang for the buck elsewhere?

1. Submariner 116610 LN Black Ceramic A3135 Best Edition (Correct Bracelet)

2. Submariner 116610 LN Black Ceramic

3. Submariner 116610 LN Black Ceramic Correct Buckle

So my criteria is Ceramic Bezel, Glidelock, Sapphire, Decent Lume, 8bps, Enough Waterproofing for swimming.

So my guess is 1. It's just the movement and buckle. Then again it says BiDirectional Bezel. Does the gen do this?
and number 2 and 3 are just the polished bracelet... which I think the Gen is Brushed right?

Anyways please advise... Thanks!

Well, don't waste your money on the 3135 clone; it has a long way to go.

Just get one with a 2836 Asian clone and you should be good, I'd get it from Lay.

I'm probably not the person you were hoping would reply, but if it were me, I'd buy the middle one. I've yet to hear a good reason to pay more for the a3135 movement, and otherwise they all look the same.

As for the clasp, I guess the one I chose could have the "non-glidelock" glidelock clasp, but that's not really clear, and I have reps of both types, and you can't tell by looking anyway, and I find it to be of little real value anyway...

Edit: I just re-read and noticed the polished bracelets, though in reading the comments on puretime, they say now only sold with full brushed... so shouldn't be an issue...

I'd go with the Asian clone 2836 myself... For what you want specifically, you will need some mods anyway... IMO I'd go for the base Asian clone.

I agree with every body elses comments, the 3135 is not worth paying the extra $$$ for, and if you dont mind spending a little more then go with BK, as his are guaranteed swiss eta or sellita and the datewheel is perfect.

I'll throw my oar in too and say to stay away from the 3135. The 2836 is built like a tank and is everything you'd ever want in a movement...and I know you like ETAs but even the clone is super solid. Also I'd personally buy from Lay just based on past experiences...but I've never worked with Angus so take that as you will.

im pretty sure these watches all come from the same factory, so which ever dealer you feel more comfortable dealing with is the one you should buy from..as or waterproofing, i wouldn't trust what any dealer says. unless you have it tested yourself.

Why Lay and not Angus? Is it the QC or the waterproofing?

I prefer his QC system, he's very nice about changing watches if you're not happy with the one he QCs. I'm sure Angus is fine as well, Lay's is just my preferred place of business.

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that's the same watch as the one you linked to in the original post...

Looks like a better deal...

for 130, you'd be getting one heck of a nice watch from mark. His RWI promo prices are incredible.

FWIW, I bought a promo from Mark and loved it to death. His prices on Subs are unbeatable.

Based on your previous thread Lay's guarantee on waterproofing may be worth the slight extra cost from him over Timeshop?
