which you didnt do - you flamed here on the day CNY ended knowing full well that he would have hundreds of messages in his inbox.

i agree in doing dealer reviews but this is just flaming for no good reason.

I can see a mod hovering as we speak who is probably seeing how this plays out....

you are not a VIP member and yet are still flaming sorry, posting this here......!

I had no clue today was the end of CNY for your information. I don't intend to personally flame Angus for no good reason. The forum is here for us to share opinions and experiences and I feel like mine was plenty reason to make a post. Its sad that as soon as a member makes a valid thread about a problem with a dealer all the mods instantly defend "how dare you flame our precious trusted dealer!! He would never do that!" this just gives dealers more leeway to get sloppy and not provide the level of service we pay for.

I'm unaware of any other Moderator that posted in this thread other than me. Trailboss99 is an Admin. If you re-read my post above, I stated you are absolutely free to post your experiences. If Angus or his staff made a mistake, he should be held accountable for it to make it right. The Staff here will do everything they can to insure you get what you paid for.

The thing no one likes to see is the label of "scammer" being used where it is not warranted. There are no dealers here that fit that description.

Angus emailed me and said he would resend the order to the correct address like I originally asked him to do on 22 of December.

Smidsy this is not a personal argument with you and I am not about to start a childish game of posting google links.

Okay well we are all entitled to our opinions but to me it seems that you're the one who has 'gone of the deep end' not me.

spot on.... also the fact that this person hasn't taken into account CNY - however yes the mistake should be rectified as I'm sure it will be.

I'd like to apologise for my outburst above.... It was childish, not like me. It's not an excuse but getting multiple PMs and emails for providing what i view as a reasonable argument when one is in a hospital bed would get to anyone.

As I said I apologise.

Let me take this point by point.

QUOTE=sawalke4;676742 Why is it that whenever a member has a problem and makes a post like this, mods consistently defend the dealer.

We do not "consistently defend" a dealer unless he is coming under an unfair attack, we exercise a duty of care towards both our members and our dealers. Your post was fine until you made the claim that a VIP member would get better service than a normal one, that is unfair to Angus and totally wrong. You are also accusing the RWI Team of protecting dealers, not in so many words but that is the implication and I refute that entirely.
We are here to ensure the members get a safe place to buy from dealers who won't rip them off and to assist when things go wrong, something yo did not give the Team a chance to do here.

Simply insisting that "you should have contacted mod/admin. They would have surely told me to "wait until after CNY and contact puretime to resolve".

No, you would have been told "Wait until after CNY and we will contact Angus and find out what is going on". Yesterday, once we knew Angus was back in town I or one of the other Team Members would have sent him an email asking that he look into it. By now we would have had a reply and passed it on to you. This issue would have been settled by now instead of turning into a storm in a tea cup.
That is the whole point of contacting a Team Member when things go wrong, so we assist in sorting out the problem. A ticket at the Help Desk (the place top go for all issues, sales related and otherwise) would have saved all of this kerfluffle. Help Desk:

I am not making this thread simply to complain about my personal experience, but using it as an example to make people and noobs aware that puretime needs to improve and organize their service before sending wrong orders. Surely you agree that this is in the best interest of the public/forum members.

It is your oppinion that PT need to improve, we have seen no evidence that delibrate substitution of watches sent to members is happening. As for the public, that is not the concern of RWI, we are not a consumer organisation (in the traditional sense), we take care of our own is all.

BTW, Angus does not send pics for approval so I am not sure why you expected them.

Yes Angus was not aware that I was a forum member when I placed the order. I don't know what you are implying by the last statement, maybe you can clarify.

Why did you not make him aware? Surly that is common sense to put your biggest card on the table up front?

trailboss99,
Agreed on point 1
Agreed on point 2 and will keep in mind for the future.
There is evidence that deliberate substitution is happening, because it happened to me and to other members. After complaining when I got the watch, i was told "the ultimate wasn't in stock, but this is just as good, (which it wasnt) one was so I sent it instead." Completely without it my consultation. Maybe if he wanted to sub could have sent pics for me to approve. That is my whole point in this argument. If I had been unaware, I would not have known the difference, this is the same thing dhgate and these sites do. Its not like buying a $200 radio and them sending another model that is close. You buy a radio to listen to music, you do not buy a rep to tell time. We all know that you pay for the details of that rep. For the "ultimate" 1:1 or whatever.
Point 4: I didnt think I had to. The trusted dealers on the site are held in such regard that I felt it unnecessary, and just ordered the watch, like many people do.

Anyway my opinion on the matter stand unchanged and Angus has finally agreed after 8 weeks and over 10 emails to do what I originally requested on 22 of December, which is reship my package to the correct address. I will keep you informed of the outcome. Thanks!

I find this surprising as all of the other dealers pretty much do now. Sounds like it can lead to less confusion and less problems if he did.

I've had my eye on some of his merchandise and Angus really has some great offerings but if he did start offering QC approval photos, I think he'd be an even better dealer. It takes the gambling aspect out of the purchase more.

To chip in my opinions on a few points raised in this thread - In my limited experience ( 1 order with Angus, see my review for more info) Angus will send QC pics if requested, and I know others have received QC pics from him. When I emailed Nikki Chen that I had some misgivings about the watch pictured, she promptly sent me some more pics and I received the exact watch I chose from these pics. Also I did not mention with my order that I would be posting my experience on the forum. Nikki Chen managed to get the watch in the mail the day before CNY and it was delivered to my door 4 days later. Couldn't ask for better service!!

I'm really glad they do offer QC pics then! Just have to ask. They have some very appealing, distinct pieces and now that I know they'll take precautions before shipping, I'll consider them. Thanks.

Not necessarily... I requested them at order confirmation from Nikki and received no QC pics, so it seems like a toss up.

Hopefully with this thread, they'll make the pics standard procedure. It can save both buyer and seller some headaches!
