I got my tracking # on June 6 which was a Friday, then on the 10th it was picked up, on the 12th it cleared customs, and on the 16th today it arrived. This was impressivly fast from order to QC to delivery (y)

I'm in Canada though so things are going a bit smoother for us considering recent logistical changes you guys are dealing with at the moment.
Thanks, I received my tracking info the same day as you. I just wish I had a tracking number that shows it's travel prior to being handed over to USPS. At least that way I would know when it went into Customs. I bought a watch from a non TD before I found this forum (thank goodness I didn't get scammed) that gave me a tracking number that worked all the way from being picked up in China to the day it was delivered.

I'll give it another week or two before I reach out to the TD.

I got mine today, it's a beauty!

When getting it from the mailbox it already felt very light, then upon opening it that feeling really sunk in.

I love the dark color tone of the Ti metal, but having another Ti watch with brushed links in the rubber strap I know all too well how brushed Ti shows scratches worse than SS so I'm on the fence if I will keep this or not as I really got it just to check it out. For now it is still in the plastic. The movement is buttery smooth on all crown settings and the bezel rotation feels great. This is a superb rep, with whatever minute flaws it may have being easily overshadowed by everything that was done right.

One thing to mention for those with bigger wrists, mine is 7.5" and this fits me comfortably on the max clasp setting with all bracelet links, and I can still use the hidden extension if needed. If your wrist is bigger than 7.5 you should get an extra link to be on the safe side.

Which TD?

Which TD?
CTime, he has them in stock. I may be ordering another for my brother, showed him pics and he flipped out. Will show to him in person tomorrow to see how he likes it.

I think this will be a keeper, even if it shows scratches more than SS, I'll likely just get another to keep mint and satisfy my OCD.

My tracking with USPS just updated and they have the package! I'm guessing it cleared Customs and hopefully I'll have my watch in a few days.

Just a rumor. Maybe @CTime Knows more if clean will switch to DD3235 soon?
As I await a Clean YM 42 TI - having a TW+ already - I asked Steve at TheOne about DD3235 potential. He initially posted about a SH3235 in the Clean version. Will share reply. I'd prefer DD.

Imho rep movement is rep movement. Nice but not any deal breaker. DD3235 vs VR3235 most people judge it on gritty winding but that doesnt say anything about movement, it just tells you it's not assembled properly. DD3235 if it breaks - you'll end up swapping with a VR3235 anyways. And I say it before but DD3235 has lots of hidden issues, double date skip, winding slippage, etc

I took the stickers off today so it's officially a keeper and now I am patiently waiting for the first scratch that I can feel stalking my very soul 👻

I don't get all the fuss over DD. The movement in mine is excellent with manual winding so smooth I had to put up to my ear to listen so I can see if it was actually winding, and it is quieter than some gens with 3235 that I've seen. No need to wait for DD movement in these, no need to wait for anything, just pull the trigger!

Had the newest non DD clean version and sold it when I learned of the potential DD. I know some wont agree but that’s cool too. It is a nice watch as is. Wear in good health

I can't imagine what is so bad about this movement that anyone would sell it just based on speculation. After wearing it all day I just put the Ti YM on a time graph and it is 1 to 2 sec/day in multiple positions, better than most of my gens.

The Shanghai movement is great, I love Shanghai the city, and I had quite a few incredible nights with a girl from Shanghai, so anything to do with Shanghai is really all a win in my books.

But out of curiosity I may get a DD version if it comes out just to compare, maybe keep it as a backup.

For the sake of it, even tho it's been discussed more then enough.. The watch is louder then your regular sub.
Even a DD Movement won't change much on this..

Titanium is a fantastic material for watch cases: it’s lightweight, durable, corrosion-resistant, and hypoallergenic. But one of its unique characteristics is that it has different acoustic properties compared to stainless steel.
  • Titanium is less dense than stainless steel (about 4.5 g/cm³ vs. ~8 g/cm³ for 316L steel). Because of this lower density, titanium cases don’t dampen vibrations and sound waves as effectively.
  • When the rotor spins or the movement makes noise (e.g., automatic winding clicks, gear chatter), titanium tends to transmit and even amplify those sounds more than stainless steel.
  • Titanium cases can have a “hollow” or “ringing” sound quality, while stainless steel absorbs more of that energy and keeps things quieter.
In my experience, especially with titanium watches like the Steinhart Premium, Tudors or certain Citizen Promaster models, you can definitely hear and sometimes feel the rotor more than on comparable steel models.

It’s not a defect — it’s just part of the character of titanium as a material. Some people actually enjoy the mechanical feedback, while others prefer the quieter nature of steel or precious metal cases.

Yes great points.

To try to contextualize the noise levels for those that don’t have one, I would say from my personal experience, even if I put a different watch like my Clean GMT Master II up close to my ear and shake it, I can hear the rotor also.

Anecdotally I can hear the Ti YM rotor noise in average ambient noise environments if I’m moderating shaking the watch at chest height level, call it two feet from my face. Otherwise swinging around on my wrist near my waist, I don’t notice any rotor noise. Maybe just me, others can chime in.

Titanium seems to enhance noise, it’s normal for the rotor to be a bit louder, even AP makes a lot of its Minute Repeaters in titanium because it helps with the sound.

Titanium has a in impact for sure but a fair trade off for the comfort.

Half of my gens are loud. This whole rotor thing, in general, is overblown on most watches. When I hear people “silencing rotors” I don’t get it. If it is installed incorrectly or incorrectly oiled that is one thing. But packing a miyota or any rotor bearing with oils is unwise. It is up there with soaking a bracelet in baby oil. 🤦‍♂️. Pdiddy excluded😂

I received mine yesterday, only 17 days after my first contact with CTime. The watch is beautiful and is not any louder than any of my other automatics. I tested the watch at 5 bar and it passed.

The second one in the case is a TWS that I bought before I found this forum.

I await a Clean version, and I had a TW+ one already. I am pleased with latter.
Side by side - what do you see and feel between these two reps?
