I’ve always liked B&R watches but just not enough to add one to the collection. However with the recent flight instrument rep releases I decided to change that and picked up the BR03 Horizon. I’m not going to do a micro analysis on it but just share my thoughts and let the pictures do the talking.

First up the dimensions are very close to gen, measured the rep at 41.2mm case width compared to 41mm gen measurement. With the height at 10.8mm compared to 10.6mm. The watch weighs 126 grams, I couldn’t find details of the gen weight.

The watch is very well made, the ceramic case is smooth to the touch and matte finished all over. Everything on it looks very close to gen, I haven’t found anything obvious to highlight that is different. Dial colour (the blue part) is difficult to judge compared to gen as all of the images from B&R are highly oversaturated. To me it looks very close and I’m more than happy with it. The blue part is also fully lumed along with the hour markers and minute hand.

The movement winds smoothly and there is no ghost date position. Crown is not screwed down so winding as normal and then pull out to first position to set time.

The strap is made from good quality rubber and is comfortable on the wrist. The buckle in particular feels really well made, smooth, similar to the case although I don’t believe it is ceramic.

Reading the dial is surprisingly easy, the only real issue that I’ve had is losing the minute hand in the white line that separates the black and blue part of the dial (the horizon line). This has happened a couple of times and it is something that happens more at first glance which requires a closer look. It only happens when the minute hand lines up exactly with the horizon line.

Overall I think this is an amazing rep, definitely NWBIG. If you like this watch you won’t be disappointed.

Nice review. Did the screws came like that from the factory? It's nicely aligned.

I'm a bit confuse on how to read the time. The dial act as the hour hand, right?
Which one is the minute hand: the black white hand or the solid white hand?

Yes the screws were aligned nicely. They’re not functional like on Royal Oaks.

The black & white hand is the seconds hand, the solid white hand is minutes. Yes dial is the hour hand, when setting the time the whole dial rotates.

Yep, like CF Stan said, they're just caps that can't even rotate (square pegs) that the bottom screws screw into. It's weird how "OCDness" makes people want them aligned but I think I have reverse OCD or Obsessive Chaos Disorder and I want them unaligned like real screws, lol.

Nice overview! Good to know the strap is nice as sometimes can be hit or miss flexibility wise. Also I'm glad the size is 41mm like the new ones and that these aren't some found stash of 42mm ceramic cases. My puny wrists will appreciate the slightly reduced size. There's something about the feel of ceramic :) I can't wait to get mine.
