Yup its tungsten weighted and the movement does seem to be engraved.very nice!
I'm thinking of buying this too.. Is it tungsten weighted? Is the movement engraved?
Dealer told me its 8.3 but I'll measure it when it's here its current on the way to me.Agree good looking piece. I'd be curious to know what the thickness is.. Would you let us know when it arrives? TD quotes it at 8.6 which if true would be fine. ZF's are quoted as 8.8 but measure closer to 9.4. My 3KF is 8.3 and mine weighs 87g vs this tungsten at 114. The main appeal to me of the OEM version is 表带和扣与原装互换 Strap and clasp interchangeable with the original which would make upgrading to gen strap a cinch. I wish all reps were like this. Enjoy!
Looks to be a 3KF clone movement with engraved plates to me. The case also seems to be more rounded to me than a stock 3kf one. I got mine from a non-TD at 770ish.Nice watch!
Is it APW or OEM (or is this the same facrory?)
Clone movement like 3KF?
Is the case rounded at 8 and 10 Position or dors the case need reshape like 3KF and ZF?
It is not a 3KF movement. The architecture is slightly different, bridges are a bit wider allowing for bigger anglage. They also appear to be a bit thicker - at least visually. The engravings are still poor and the balance cock looks like it is obese in serious need of a calorie deficit. Compared to 3KF the differences are not closer to gen and the Geneva stripes look rough at best.Looks to be a 3KF clone movement with engraved plates to me. These movements 324/330 were not/are not freely accessible outside of 3KF and rumor is Clean soon, so I agree with this assessment. It is not a 3KF movement. It looks like they got access to the peacock base movement and manufactured their own bridges which would leave their reliability to be proven...
Anyways a nice touch to the stock 324SC monopoly previously dominated by 3KF.
Haven’t worked on many Pateks before but I have a gen 5168 dial I want to use for a franken— any thoughts whether this is the best base to start with now? I know the weight is probably a big factor but in terms of DW, hands, and the rest of the package is the APW better than a stock 3KF?
Would you mind sharing some pics? Does the strap have the correct khaki color and is the dial matte khaki? Thank you!I measured the watch and it is indeed 8.7
